No Morning After Panic I still don't know who the customer was, me or my mom. It's a testament to Craig McKenzie that he was able to figure it out. The car was for my mom, the money was my mom's; but, I always have 5,000 questions and want to be certain everything makes sense. So, really, he had two customers that he had to sell two different things to, at the same time! My mom wanted the sporty car she'd been longing for these many years without breaking the bank. I wanted her to get what she wanted while being certain she wasn't being sold a beach house in Arizona. Honestly, buying my mom's 2015 Cadillac ATS was the most fun I've had in a long time. We had a minivan full of $200 worth of groceries from Winco and a brand new Whirlpool water softener from Lowes. My mom wasn't planning on buying a car that day; we just stopped by the dealerships for fun. Craig came out and introduced himself without the usual car salesman creepers. It was more like he was there checking out the cars too, and wasn't it a hoot that we all found the same car attractive. Of course it was amazing, it's a Cadillac! Of course she loved it, it's fully loaded! Of course we were worried she couldn't afford it, it's a luxury vehicle! So, we had our trade-in evaluated and it wasn't pretty. We walked away and drove off. Just as we got passed Paradise Cadillac, the phone rang: Craig said the finance manager wanted to get her into that ATS! I pulled a U-ey and then the fun began. It really was like Craig was there shopping with us. He seemed genuinely intrigued about the outcome. Instead of being tense and worried he wouldn't make the sale, it was more like he was watching his favorite team and rooting for them to win. And really, my mom and I were the team, and a fantastic deal was the big win! The next day, with a big black ATS in the driveway, my mom and I talked it over. I felt relieved that she was in a brand new reliable car with a fantastic warranty. I had no doubts that she got a great deal. She felt exactly the same. She did have one doubt, though. Was this too extravagant a thing to do for herself? The answer, of course, is no. After all, it was her decision. Unlike previous car buying experiences, where the next day I feel like I made the decision the salesman wanted, Craig was there to be moral support to give my mom the time and space to buy the car that she wanted. More

I wanted the grey rather than more common black interior. Way difficult, especially as it is only in the LT model. I called every dealer in San Diego, but found my car when I called Paradise in Temecula. I was directed to Thad who went out to look at their stock on the lot, called my back shortly and said they had what I wanted. I came with a price in mind, got their manufacturer incentives, boom, I was out the door. Although I frankly came SOLD on the Volt, Thad showed me some features I had only read about and I bought the car right there. The purchase was really smooth and I was stunned to find that Paradise would deliver my car all the way from Temecula to Encinitas that night!! I thought I would be rounding my husband up for a 2.5 hour round trip sometime the next day. I had the new Volt in my garage that night!. Thank you Thad and Paradise Cadillac Chevrolet for a terrific buying experience. More
