The price discussion was tense and typical of a dealership experience. The dealer had the opportunity of 5 stars, but the approach of the price negotiation brought the rating down to average. Two issues - 1. The advertised price on the website was presented as out the door pricing, but the sticker had $3k of dealer secondary dealer add-ons that were presented at the point of price negotiation. The dealer implied the add-ons were an expected and mandatory part of the car sale. I found this to be disingenuous. The car should have been advertised with the add-ons on the website if the expectation is pricing must include these add-on features. The add-ons in question are: a. Nanocure protection, anti-theft etching, and door guards. 2. The price negotiator presented the numbers with the 3 add-ons as part of the price build up of the car whereas the extended warranty was presented as a set of options outside of the price build up - different area of the pricing worksheet. When I asked if the Nanocure had already been applied upon delivery, the sales negotiatir responded with a non direct answer leaving me with an impression that it was applied upon delivery and the 3 add-ons were a requirement to buy the car. Later after the sale, a follow up w the same negotiator (on unrelated matters) on when the nanocure was applied confirmed that it was actually applied upon the sale of the vehicle. The net is that I believe I did have the option to decline the add-ons as a condition of purchase, but wasn’t presented with a clear choice. The presentation of the extended warranty was an example of a clear choice. When I declined the protection it was immediately removed from the price. However, the presentation of the addons made it appear that these were required to buy the car which is why I am feeling the approach is disingenuous. I believe the dealer should have either disclosed the addons on the website as required parts of the price or presented the addons as options to be considered and opted out like the extended warranty. This dealership was very welcoming, lots of friendly faces. Prices had some dealer fees and such however it was still reasonably fair. My traveling plans almost came into a complete disaster when my 2019 traverse started to have issues soon after a New Replacement battery had been installed. The car would stall and was not running correc when my 2019 traverse started to have issues soon after a New Replacement battery had been installed. The car would stall and was not running correctly. Immediately contact Josh at the service department that my car would be towed in that morning to be checked out. The service department was busy with other customers already. Josh took my details & report of the problems the car had going on. Once there within an hour later, tow truck dropped off my car off. I was greeted by Josh himself. With my keys in his procession, my car was quickly put into there shop lot. I was given an estimate for when the car could be ready, but first, a diagnostic test had to be completed. Agreeing to the estimate & the remote possibility of a few hours to maybe a few days (depending on soon they could get to it)), I left the car there until they could call me. Hoping that it would be a short stay, my travel plans were soon to be interrupted & delayed. A few hours passed, when unexpectedly I received a call from Josh himself- he reported they were able to find the problems with our car, and was NOW fully functional once again! … was glad the Technicians were able to reset the onboard computer and the car is running just as New!! … this was an exceptional experience.
