I feel like a got a decent deal, but the process was fraught with frustration--you need a lot of patience to deal with this dealership. I don't know if it was inexperience or incompentence, but when they said they could match a written offer from another dealer, the first offer was MORE expensive by a lot (they had discounted theirs by the current rebate offer while the other dealer's offer did not include it. Could have been a rookie mistake. Once this was pointed out they did come back with a competitive offer but it included the useless Waypoint tracking device. To their credit, they removed that when asked. I drove in the same day (a Sunday) to close the deal and went through some paperwork with Shafi. At some point he asked about down payment and I said I’d want to pay as much as I could and still qualify for the rebate which required financing via Hyundai. At that point he said I could pay off the whole thing and still get the rebate. I was skeptical but figured that at least it would mean that the amount financed could be very small, if not actually zero. I signed a proposal for the offer that documented the discount and included a table showing different monthly payments corresponding to different downpayments and term of the loan. It included language that this was an estimate and depended on approval and credit history. There was nothing circled when I signed that paper. Around this time, I was introduced to Kacy, the finance guy. I expressed my desire to make a large down payment and pay off the loan early and he explained that they would have to “pay back lost interest” or something to that effect if the loan did not last some minimum length of time (like about 4 months). I said I would probably be willing to abide by that. After preliminary checking of my credit report, they proceeded with the deal. I went to Kacy’s office to sign papers. Kacy was super friendly and I think he did a good job of trying to make me want to buy extended warranties and other add ons but was respectful when I declined. I did not feel pressured to purchase anything else. As we got to the terms of the loan, it had only the rebate applied to the downpayment and did not have me paying more up front. This is when things got a bit annoying as Kacy showed me the initial proposal paper which now had $0 downpayment circled, implying that I had agreed to those terms. I pointed out that I had never said I wanted $0 down and he lamented that they weren't making any money on the deal. At this point I had been there for several hours and didn’t feel like fighting with him, so I reluctantly accepted the terms with zero down payment. Given that I did not feel pressure for anything else I felt like I could be a good sport. I also felt like if I eventually came to the conclusion that I was not happy about that aspect of the deal I would have the option of paying it off early and not waiting the 4 months. While waiting for the car to arrive there was very little communication. Shafi initially blamed the delay on safety inspections due to a factory fire. Later he admitted that the fire didn't impact EVs. I don't know if he was initially lying or if it was an honest misunderstanding. On the day I came to accept delivery I was told that they needed more documents for the loan (Kacy implied that Shafi should have informed me). This is not a tightly run establishment. At that time and in a later email I asked for the target date for my last payment (still willing to be a good sport), but was never told so I made a guess. Ashley, the sales manager, asked about the experience and I explained some of the above and have not heard back from her. I also asked her and Shafi about an issue with a headrest and have not heard back after almost a week. If you all you want is a decent deal and you don't mind poor customer service, this dealership is okay. More

The team at Seattle Hyundai went beyond the basics to make our new car purchase seamless. I emailed in the morning, arrived that afternoon, and let the same day in my new car. When there was a small mist make our new car purchase seamless. I emailed in the morning, arrived that afternoon, and let the same day in my new car. When there was a small mistake on the paperwork, one of the employees went the extra mile and brought it to us to sign, on our work day. Thanks for being flexible! More

My sales rep was ok and, Rachel Walen, one of the sales managers, was semi reasonable but everything else about this dealer was very disappointing. The Finance department was terrible and very high pressur managers, was semi reasonable but everything else about this dealer was very disappointing. The Finance department was terrible and very high pressure. They had me walk over to the Jeep dealer to complete the sale. Bu the supposedly "new" vehicle had nearly 300 miles on it which they tried to explain away as a dealer trade. But the dealer it was sold to was more like 25 miles away. Further someone's cell phone had been registered to it so it's pretty clear it was previously sold to someone else. The vehicle also had some obvious damage. And look at their service bays which are beyond poor. I'd stay FAR away from Seattle Hyundai! More

I worked with Shafi and am happy with the results. The dealership as a whole was very helpful in sorting out a few minor hiccoughs (e.g. a missing charging adapter and a duplicate one).
