Buyer Beware- Will tell you anything to make the sale Purchased my 2015 Chevy Suburban here 5 weeks ago. Noticed something wrong with the turn signals and transmission. As part of the deal, both were supp Purchased my 2015 Chevy Suburban here 5 weeks ago. Noticed something wrong with the turn signals and transmission. As part of the deal, both were supposed to be fixed. First trip to service, they flushed the transmission fluid and installed new filter, said that should fix the problem. It did not. Brought the car back the next week, the turn signals were fixed however the transmission was not. They kept my car an entire week, sent it over to their Chevy Dealership. Informed me the transmission fluid was a quart low and it just needed a computer update. This again did not fix the problem. Took it to Summit City Chevrolet in Fort Wayne and it quickly was diagnosed with a bad torque converter. $1700.00 to replace. Called Basney's Service Manager and after several conversations, we were told sorry your on your own - its not our problem. I feel they knew this all along and didn't want to put any money into fixing it as they already had the sale. We will pursue further through our attorney but shouldn't have to. Buying a new car should have been an exciting fun time and Basney Service has turned it into a nightmare. Side Note- if I didn't have to deal with the service center this dealership would have been 5 star earned our loyalty. Ken and Patrick were wonderful. Ken in particular went above and beyond to help us with affordable financing. More
