As part of the deal, both were supp Purchased my 2015 Chevy Suburban here 5 weeks ago. Noticed something wrong with the turn signals and transmission. As part of the deal, both were supposed to be fixed. First trip to service, they flushed the transmission fluid and installed new filter, said that should fix the problem. It did not. Brought the car back the next week, the turn signals were fixed however the transmission was not. They kept my car an entire week, sent it over to their Chevy Dealership. Informed me the transmission fluid was a quart low and it just needed a computer update. This again did not fix the problem. Took it to Summit City Chevrolet in Fort Wayne and it quickly was diagnosed with a bad torque converter. $1700.00 to replace. Called Basney's Service Manager and after several conversations, we were told sorry your on your own - its not our problem. I feel they knew this all along and didn't want to put any money into fixing it as they already had the sale. We will pursue further through our attorney but shouldn't have to. Buying a new car should have been an exciting fun time and Basney Service has turned it into a nightmare. Side Note- if I didn't have to deal with the service center this dealership would have been 5 star earned our loyalty. Ken and Patrick were wonderful. Ken in particular went above and beyond to help us with affordable financing. More

Security Freeze Snafu Overall, I'd say Basney is an excellent dealership. My only problem - and it became significant - was partly my fault for placing a security freeze on Overall, I'd say Basney is an excellent dealership. My only problem - and it became significant - was partly my fault for placing a security freeze on my credit reports. While I had lifted it from Experion, I did not realize it was also in place for TransUnion and Equifax. Thinking Experion was the problem, I spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to lift an already lifted freeze, while Accounting was calling TransUnion getting the "cold" shoulder. When Accounting and I finally discovered our miscommunication, I asked my representative, Scott Allen, if he had the phone #s I could contact to lift the freezes. No, he didn't, and even Accounting had to dig to find them (I've learned that credit bureaus do not freely give out their contact information). So, after all was cleared up with my excellent credit rating, I recommend that every representative have the bureau customer service numbers at their desks. In this day of rampant identity theft, if I'm the first customer who had security freezes on her accounts and forgot about it, I definitely won't be the last. That's a procedural issue that should be addressed. Otherwise, Scott was informative and very helpful, and Ken Bloss did an excellent job of communicating very detailed information. I initially dealt with Leslie on the phone before I went in for my test drive. Unfortunately, she was not available when I showed up for my appt., so Scott was willing to help. I never met Matt Mulstay, but the CR-V was beautiful when I took possession, so someone in Maintenance did a great job. And Chip, I'm sure, is very capable, but we were only introduced to each other so I'm really not one to rate him. Overall, I would definitely recommend Basney to anyone, as long as the customer has checked with all the credit bureaus to lift their security freezes prior to applying for an auto loan at Honda's current very attractive rates. More
