Tom Rice has heart and Soul I had an absolutely amazing experience working with Tom Rice at Kia Royal. My car had suddenly become terminal and buying a new car was the last thin I had an absolutely amazing experience working with Tom Rice at Kia Royal. My car had suddenly become terminal and buying a new car was the last thing on my agenda. The very thought of walking into a dealership and enduring a hard pressured sale complete with price haggling and numerous consultations with an unseen “manager” made my stomach churn. After a brief desperate on-line search as I had no idea when what kind of car I wanted to buy, I quickly settled on the Kia Soul. With much fear and trepidation I made an appointment on-line. A few minutes later Tom called me and as I spilled my distraught tale, he quickly sensed that I needed some gentle TLC. He was so kind calm and reassuring and promised that I would be treated kindly, with respect and that I would have a good experience and maybe even fun! The next day I met Tom in person and felt from the start that he was truly on my side and working hard to make certain that I had the best possible outcome and was not just interested in selling a car. He assessed my needs, provided lots of information, guided me through every step of the process and never left my side. There was ZERO price haggling as the Soul comes with so many standard features, the price was more than fair and there was no debate. I was never turned over to a finance person and felt very comfortable sharing my financial information with Tom who quickly became a trusted friend. Tom got me my Soul in my favorite color with exactly the interior I wanted and most importantly with the most incredible financing terms. The trade-in price for my poor old car was more than generous. I left walking on air that night with the promise to pick up my new car after work the next day (and an armful of roses!). Tom was not working the next day, but came in extra to explain all the bells and whistles and make certain I was completely comfortable driving off in my new Soul. I thank Tom from the bottom of my heart and SOUL for the best car buying experience of my life! More

Melissa Shelley was our sales representative for the transaction. I just wanted to let you know that we were super-pleased with the quality of customer service that Melissa provided to us. She went way out of her way to alleviate any of my sister's qualms, including driving the car out to her house to make sure it would not drag on the entryway to the garage (it did not). In addition, she provided a lot of research on other requirements that my sister wanted, like customized striping for the car's body. The bottom line is that Melissa always did everything with a smile and was just really friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. My sister and I both felt her friendliness the 1st time she came out to meet us in the lot. It gave us both a different experience about buying a car. Also, kudos to Dan Ivey for your straight-forward and clear explanations about pricing, as well as your no-hassle and fair pricing of my sister's trade-in. Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with a great young salesman named Eli Griffith. He was eager and helpful without being pushy and definitely NOT the stereotypical car salesman. Kevin Cravo and Lu Fragozo were both friendly and helpful. Buying a car can be a stressful experience, but I have never had a problem with this dealership. More

First Time Car Buyer I originally went to a dealership in my small home town but after getting home and reviewing some numbers, I was extremely dissatisfied and felt that I originally went to a dealership in my small home town but after getting home and reviewing some numbers, I was extremely dissatisfied and felt that I had been tricked. I then researched several dealerships in Tucson and Phoenix and decided to investigate this one further. Peter Thomas was the one who helped me on the phone. He was very patient with me and answered all of the questions I had and I was convinced that it was now worth making the almost 2 hour drive to this specific dealership. Peter was with another client when I finally arrived but Tom Rice welcomed both me and my mother and walked us through the process. He took the time to go over every single detail so that this time around, we were completely aware of what we were agreeing to. I didn't feel as if we were being pushed to purchase add ons and I was shocked that I was able to finance a brand new 2014 Kia Soul for a lower monthly payment than I had gotten at the other dealership. Again, this was because they weren't tacking on any extra fees. Because I had already bought another car, the manager Kevin Cravo actually called the manager at the local dealership I had originally gone to. I'm not sure what was said between the two and I assume he kept it very professional but either way, I believe it helped them accept the car back without any issue. In the end, I'm more than thrilled that I decided to explore other options and came across this dealership. I had never put much faith in reviews but after having had such a great experience with Royal Kia, I can honestly say that every positive thing I had heard about this place is true. Their service department appears to be top of the line with many accommodations for the comfort of the customer and the fact that they give you a dozen roses at the end of a purchase is a very nice touch that really stood out in my mind. They erased any concerns I had about the car buying process and I would recommend them to all my family and friends. I absolutely love my Soul! Thank you again, Tom, Peter and Kevin! My husband needed a car to get back and forth to work. He is in construction, so we would eventually be purchasing a work truck for him, but at the time it was not in our buget. We chose Royal because I have purchased my last 5 vehicles from them. Every time I visit their lot I don't have the usual "cringe" you would feel at other dealerships when you are immediately hunted down by an overeager sales person. We chose a Pontiac that was several years old and had pretty high mileage, but it was below our max price range, and was only intended to be his transportation for 12 - 18 months. The sale was easy and pleasant, as my experiences with Royal ALWAYS are. Unfortunately, there were several issues that came up with the car over the first 6 months that we owned it. Luckily, the extended warranty covered most of the issues, but by the time we had to have the car in the shop for the third time and were facing a pretty large expense to fix it, I went back to the sales side and ended up talking with Kevin about our situation. Kevin took the time to sit down with me, and go through the history of the car since we purchased it. He surprised me (even for a Royal employee) by taking responsibility for more than was necessary, being genuinely concerned about helping us, and offered us several options to "make it right". After two days of trying to figure out what was best for our family, we decided to fix and keep the vehicle. Kevin arranged for us to have a loaner car so we wouldn't be stuck without a vehicle, and made sure that the service department did a full double check on our car to be sure that there were no other potential issues. I would love to be able to say that even if I found a better deal elsewhere on a used vehicle I would still stick with Royal, but I can't. Over the last 10 years, which covered 5 vehicle purchases for me and my immediate family, as well as 3 additional vehicle purchases for my extended family at my reccomendation, I have not been able to find a better deal on a used vehicle anywhere else in Tucson. Combining that fact with the excellent customer service, pleasant sales experience, superior service department (I have all my work done at Royal, even oil changes), and the general sense of honesty, loyalty, and family oriented atmosphere that you feel when you visit their dealership, I can't imagine doing business with any other company. Kevin's business ethic, service, and overall honest decency as a human being has definitely secured me and my family as Royal customers for life. Thanks for everything guys!! More
