I brought in my vehicle and asked for a few things things to be done yesterday. I pulled the vehicle in an waited for 10 minutes and finally got out and walked around looking for someone. I got a call back to be done yesterday. I pulled the vehicle in an waited for 10 minutes and finally got out and walked around looking for someone. I got a call back stating the "Tensioner" was leaking and needed to have the Timing belt replaced for $1300. I had brought this in last January and was quoted $1600 back then. I brought it to another auto repair shop, and had it done for $900. I informed the woman of this, and she said it still was leaking and needed to be done. I declined. She said the Coolant and Transmission fluids needed to be flushed. I agreed to let them do those, but then realized that the other shop flushed it when they replaced the timing belt and water pump. I called back to cancel that service but couldn't get the same woman and left a message for her. She apparently didn't get it and the work was done. My own stupidity, but I shouldn't have to be on the defensive when expecting good service from a place I had been coming to for years. I also mentioned that 2 tires keep losing pressure and asked to have the stems checked, and that was ignored, and they overinflated the tires instead. Honda techs look at their own software and what they recommend for service and if you don't have the work done by them, they don't know because they aren't checking it. I was also told it needed an engine air filter and a cabin air filter. I replaced these myself a few months ago. I mentioned I had a coupon and when i went to pick up the vehicle, it was not applied. The cashier stated that I needed to go find the woman who helped me. I finally paid and had to ask where the vehicle was. It was raining out and i had to walk quite a ways to reach it. just an all around bad experience! I will not be going back to Kelly Honda again as the service department has declined over the past few visits. More

Service representatives are generally friendly, and I normally don’t have any issues. Went in for service at 6 PM this week and mentioned using either the $15 off an oil change coupon or the 10% off serv normally don’t have any issues. Went in for service at 6 PM this week and mentioned using either the $15 off an oil change coupon or the 10% off services coupon if that was a better deal since I agreed for additional services on top of what I came in for. I was told that the 10% off would be the better deal. When the service was finished 1.5 hours later, I paid and left. I got home, reviewed the bill and noticed that the 10% off coupon was not applied. I can agree it’s partially my fault for not double-checking the bill before I paid (although the bill was never placed in my hands for review) and for assuming the coupon would be applied without me having to ask for it again. Tried calling every morning after that night, and on the third day, I finally get the answer that they can’t honor the coupon unless it was applied on the day of the service. It’s not my fault that Honda didn’t apply the coupon when I had mentioned it on the day of the service. It’s disappointing that Honda cannot agree to honor use of the coupon on the service or apply a credit on my account. So much for “making it easy.” Lesson learned: always double check your bill before making payment and make sure any applicable coupons you mention are applied. More
