DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM GREG MAY HONDA! !!! LOOK HOW MANY BAD GOOGLE REVIEWS THEY HAVE!!!!! THESE ARE THE GUYS THAT GIVE BAD REPS TO USED CAR DEALERS! I always believe that ethics in !!! LOOK HOW MANY BAD GOOGLE REVIEWS THEY HAVE!!!!! THESE ARE THE GUYS THAT GIVE BAD REPS TO USED CAR DEALERS! I always believe that ethics in business runs from management down. Called GM Kyle Binner. Left message of course no response. Spoke to W. Bart Bass sales manager and he offered to give me $4,000 less than I had just paid for the car as a trade in. Here's my story. Purchased a used 2010 Lexus from them. Nice looking car. I live in San Antonio, and now I know why they quickly said they would drive it 3+ hours down to me for free. A few things I noticed as soon as the car arrived 1) The gas tank door didn't work. The driver from the dealership acknowledged it was broken. He said you need 2 people to put gas...one to press the button inside and another to wedge open the gas door outside. Greaaaaat! 2nd neither the hood or hatchback/liftgate would stay up. Struts were worn all the way on both. From the get go I was sold a car I couldn't put gas in by myself or keep the hood open. Honestly those were minor but annoying repairs I did myself. A little less than $500 in parts alone 1st week I purchased. Car also has a rattle from the steering wheel and shakes when driving at 70mph. Great used car department Greg May Honda. Honestly if it wasn't a 3+ hour drive the car would have been back the next day. That repair is still unknown but will be more than likely $1,000+ About 2 months later the weather started to warm up. So naturally I would find out that the air conditioner doesn't work... figures. The worst and most pitiful thing was when it was time for an oil change. As soon as the the oil filter was removed...thick engine sludge. All over the filter and my mechanic showed me it also in the motor. I mean super thick. Per the manager Bart Bass they gave the car an oil change BEFORE they sold it. So they were aware of the sludge and SOLD IT ANYWAY!!!! My morals won't let me sell this car to someone without disclosing this, but the management at Greg May Honda has no problem with it. My mechanic also said it had more than likely been submerged in water since there was leaves/debris/ and rust inside the interior panels. It was also in a minor front end collision since it had some new parts (hood) and was missing some parts. Things that an inspection would have caught. It was going to be a money pit... I will post text messages about how the car was said to be in great condition, my reported problems to them, and pictures of sludge from oil change in a bit. ULTIMATLELY I am screwed in this deal since their manager said that's the way it goes with used cars. All I can do is warn others to stay away. You're better off buying a car on Facebook market place or Offerup. At least you'll pay less for a lemon there. Plus you will be expecting it. I know I didn't expect this from a bigger dealership.
