I purchased a 2021 Chevy pickup on Oct. 21, 2025, Shortly after purchase, the pickup engine light came on, I called the services department and was told to take it to any chevy dealership. 21, 2025, Shortly after purchase, the pickup engine light came on, I called the services department and was told to take it to any chevy dealership. I then took it to Bastrop Covert. They discovered that there was a fuel tank issue, a broken motor mount and missing bolts and brackets on tranny and also tranny fluid linking due to being overfilled. After 21 days I received my truck back stating it was fixed. Within days of picking it up, I drove to Kansas for a family visit and drove to the airport to go on vacation. When we returned home we noticed tranny fluid leaking heavily onto the ground. This was Sunday Jan. 25, 2026. The next day Monday Jan. 26, 2026 we took it to the local chevy dealership in Kansas to have it inspected before I drove it back to Texas. They reported the truck needs I new tranny and advised not to drive it back to Texas. I had to have family take me back home to Texas and now have the expense of a plane ticket to get back to Kansas to pick up my truck. The truck has been out of services over 9 weeks since purchasing on October 21st. While the extended warranty has covered some repairs, the repeated failures and prolonged downtime so soon after purchases have been extremely disappointing. I was told the vehicle was being sold "as-is" yet the number of mechanical failures discovered shortly after purchased raises concern about pre-sale inspection quality. More

Although we had a slightly higher offer on our trade in from a national online dealership, we felt shopping local was a better option. The local companies like Covert employ many people in the area and its important to keep our local economy vibrant. The Covert price point on our King Ranch Truck was unmatched. WORST PLACE EVER TO PURCHASE A CAR. WRONG MILEAGE ON CAR AND NOW WONT FIX THE ISSUE EVEN WITH THEIR LAWYER. Very dishonest and unprofessional. We check on the availability of a car and was advised by the sale associate that the car was available. My daughter an I drove almost one hour and I missed a meeting to drive to purchase the car. We said that we wanted to make the purchase and started the paperwork. The associate step away and came back to say that the car was no longer available. There was another couple who showed up after us and I noticed that the vehicle was being driven away by them. The sale associate act surprised and tried to apologize. I asked to speak to one of the manager who stated that someone had put a down payment on the car on Friday. He would never say that was the person who put the down payment on the vehicle. He would only say that he was sorry while smiling. More

They lie about trade in values. Severely lower than it should be. Unfortunately I was in a pinch and since they completely lied and wasted my time had to trade in here. Amber told me she could beat offers coming in at 29000 for my traverse, then I went in and they could barely off me 26000 without me complaining about it. Don't waste your time with these scammers. It's been 3 weeks and after " buying" my vehicle, GM financial still has received ZERO payment from them. Absolute crooks. More

Purchased used 2018 Ford Max on 3/10/2023. Took delivery on 3/24/2023. Remarked that I smell antifreeze, was told it could be residual from repairs that were done. On 3/20 we returned the veh Took delivery on 3/24/2023. Remarked that I smell antifreeze, was told it could be residual from repairs that were done. On 3/20 we returned the vehicle to the dealership for leakes and and antifreeze smell. They looked for AC leaks not antifreeze leaks. We clarified that it was infact antifreeze they should be looking for. They stated no leaks found. They told my wife that the leaking was condensation from the AC and we would have that with the Max. We then went back to the dealership and spoke with another individual who was in management and he said he would get to the bottom of the issue. On Friday 3/17 we picked the vehicle back up and were told no leaks were found. We took it home and I spent about 10 minutes with a flashlight and located the leak and the loose bolt that were part of the issue. I corrected the issue and notified them with photos. We took the vehicle to Corpus Christi and on the way back south east of San Antonio it started acting like it was going to die and was very sluggish. We got it home and I notified the dealership on a group chat that the leak was fixed and told them the new issue. We currently have more issue with the vehicle and I understand we bought used as is but this is unacceptable. The vehicle supposedly went through a rigorous inspection prior to becoming an certified used car for Covert. The current issue appears to be the Cam Phasers going out which Ford is very aware of. Why was this issue passed on to the consumer and not corrected prior to delivery of the vehicle. Not a fan at this time. GRR More
