Like most people after buying a number of vehicles over the years you become conditioned to the car buying experience in a dealership. A long-drawn-out process that drains you of energy and enthusiasm as the years you become conditioned to the car buying experience in a dealership. A long-drawn-out process that drains you of energy and enthusiasm as it becomes a test of wills and endurance. I am very pleased to say yesterday I was ready for the tug of war, but it never emerged. I walked in having played that game at a nearby dealer, where I had an older Subaru trade-in to be used in a new purchase. Typical that dealer low balled me on my current auto, and we had to go back and forth to get to a decent price but one that wasn't where it needed to be, so I left. I went over to Rye Subaru and met with Lauren. She was happy to give me a test drive of the car I knew I wanted. We didn't have to play games back in the office. They valued my car, and it was an even worse offer, so I said I don't care what you pay for the car I'm trading in, all I care about is my net out of pocket. They said OK what's your number. I told them and Louis said done and we had a deal. A little while later I drove my new car home. Easy, quick, painless. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want or ask for, no pressure, no multiple conferences with the sales manager. Lauren was great through the process, and I would recommend her and the dealership wholeheartedly and know I will go back when my other Subaru needs to be traded in. More
