Excellent Shopping Experience We called to make an appointment with Lawrence, and I informed him then I was just looking and not intending to purchase yet. I wasn't familiar with Honda minivans and I just wanted some hands-on. Lawrence was very friendly and informative over the phone, and seemed genuinely happy to spend time with us in person. There was no pressure to purchase. He was very professional when discussing numbers, prices between the trimlines, etc. We did end up purchasing that day because the dealership gave us a very good number for our trade-in and a very good price for the minivan. My only criticism is for John Hunt in the warranty/finance/paperwork office. When it was time to discuss warranty options I had questions about the different levels of coverage. He was very short with me and got a little condescending of my questions. I had questions because he went way too fast through the warranty info. Good for him that he obviously knows the warranty details by heart--he probably goes over it with people 5 times a day. HOWEVER I only buy a vehicle once every 6 or 7 years. That means I only go over warranty info ONCE every 6 or 7 YEARS. After a dozen questions I had in which he gave condescending or smart-a** answers I just dropped it and picked the warranty plan I think was appropriate. But, honestly, I couldn't tell you how many years I have warranty for. Or how many miles. Or what's covered. Or how (if) the warranty coverage changes with mileage or vehicle age. Or what's covered. Not happy at all with that. Lawrence was AWESOME, though. I appreciate that he followed up twice with me post-purchase to see if I had any questions and to make sure I had things (features) figured out. Not a single complaint about the shopping part of my experience. More
