As mentioned in the previous review, Louis was very efficient and dedicated to selling me a car. That fact remains. However, it was not my intent to purchase a vehicle on Wednesday, July 5th. I made sure that Louis knew that I wanted to trade in my vehicle. Also, upon reviewing my financials, and my level of credit, he was aware that purchasing a vehicle was not something that made sense nor fit into my budget. Right off the bat, he let me know that I was underwater with the amount that I owed on my current vehicle. So at that point, he was straightforward and honest with me. At that point, however was when he said, “Let me see what I can do”. He returned with a decision. To me that decision stated, although it was seemingly impossible to meet your request, here is what we can do. With that being said, having never traded in a vehicle, I followed his steps blindly, knowing that he was the expert and professional, to lead me in the right direction. Did I agree to the one vehicle that they shared with me? I did. Did it fit my expectations for a trade-in model? It did. But this was NOT a vehicle I would have BOUGHT based mainly on its interior. Although the new vehicle is a 2020 model, my 2017 car to be traded, was much more up-to-date and current than the 2020. All that being said, BE CAREFUL if you are trading in a vehicle. Make sure you ask lots of questions prior to signing anything. Otherwise, Louis, Pablo (general manager), or any of the Hyattsville Eastern Motors representatives could KNOWINGLY put you underwater!!
