We were looking for a used car for my 19 year old son and he found exactly what he wanted here. When we drove down from the northern suburbs I was not looking forward to dealing with a car salesman. While on the lot we were approached by Mario inquiring if we needed any help. His manner and how he talked took my fears away. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle we were looking at, pointed out the positives as well as the negatives. We went for a test drive and when in to talk price. Even that part wasn't as bad as I though it would be. We came to an agreement very soon and the deal was done! Shortly after the purchase we had some mechanical problems with the car and it needed repair. We had it brought back to The Autobarn and I dealt with Scott in the service department and Dennis the sales manager and couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. I will purchase another vehicle from these great people. More

He was able to answer all of our questions and was happy to explain the different features on the Subaru. He even shared his Dunkin Donut holes with us. What a great guy! We will definitely recommend our friends to come to The Autobarn Subaru and ask for Mario. He even phoned today to make sure we were happy with our new Forester. More

I had shopped at another local suburban dealership for a 2013 Subaru Outback Limited and received what I consider unprofessional service. I took a shot in the dark and made an online bid at Autobarn fo 2013 Subaru Outback Limited and received what I consider unprofessional service. I took a shot in the dark and made an online bid at Autobarn for a car that was similar to the one that I wanted, hoping that they could find the right one. The bid was accepted and the service advisor was friendly and easy to work with. When I came in to the dealership, I met Mario. He was able to expedite the purchasing process, making the purchase very customer friendly. He was also able to find the car that I truly wanted (it was a color change) and have it delivered to the dealership ahead of schedule. Based on the appearance and culture of this dealership and its employees, it is much more professional than the other one that I visited. If I am ever in the market for a Subaru in the future, I will make my first stop at Mario's desk at the Autobarn. More

He did that by pointing out the advantages but without making me feel too pressured. When it came to the price negotiation it was not simple or immediate, but it was reasoned and respectful, and I felt that my arguments which had traction were properly accepted. Also, both Mario and Brian carefully tried to do all they could to make me feel comfortable with the final outcome, when they saw me consumed with some issue they tried to find a solution or a better alternative. Brian also took care of me with patience and calm, even as we had to stay almost an hour past the closing of the program to finish the paperwork. If the service is as competent as the sales for this dealer, I feel that I will return often for additional products and perhaps even the next vehicle. More

I only planned on looking at certain cars the day I bought my Suburu Legacy at Autobarn in Countryside. I had a number as to what my trade-in was worth and what the Legacy was worth from looking on the bought my Suburu Legacy at Autobarn in Countryside. I had a number as to what my trade-in was worth and what the Legacy was worth from looking on the internet. I was not going to stay if those numbers weren't really close. What I liked was that I was not treated like I was stupid. The numbers weren't what I wanted to start but Mario did not present them as if he were doing me a favor giving me his numbers. We talked, we came up with new numbers that I thought were a great deal, on a great car, so I bought the car on the spot. The dealership and Mario were very efficient and friendly and informative. I left with my new car feeling I was treated fairly and more importantly with respect. More

This was my first experience buying a car for myself. Mario made the process incredibly pleasant and painless.
