On August 29, 2015, we did a marathon blitz of three dealers and came out frustrated by the pressure tactics including the classic here is my family pictures and photo album of my kids to the you cant leave until you meet our manager, CEO and Chairman of the Board who all ask you the golden question, "What will it take to get you to leave here with a new car?" I responded, "A Miracle." The rest of the conversation was how they would work a miracle by selling me a car at 500 below MSRP. I guess I believe in a different kind of miracle. I did not hold out much hope to buy a Honda Accord. Lets face it. They are great cars and very popular. They do not have to dicker muc//h. We met Mario Saucedo and discovered that buying a car can be as pleasant as checking out books at the library. He applied no pressure. He said, lets start at this low ball number (which was far below the miracle number others were pushing) and Wallah.... we had a car. There was no eagerness by him to close the deal. Just a matter of fact, "Lets see if we can do this." When it was done. I felt no stress. Only peace of mind and I frankly wanted to meet this guys family and have them over for a barbecue. It’s no nonsense business with a family atmosphere. We have had great periodic service done to our vehicles and we get them back like new – washed and vacuumed. I’m going to name a few names at the store and I will miss more than I can remember. These folks have taken care of us like we were family; Jill in the service department – what an infectious laugh! She likes my jokes. Melanie who used to sit at the front desk and welcomed everyone who came in is so friendly; remembers names like you can’t believe. She always says hi Mike when I come in. Mario is a great salesman. No pressure and knows his stuff. Dave who does financing is so cool. He can help so much on the finance side – has lots of contacts! I can’t remember the names of all the others who have helped. The staff there is so professional and friendly. When you have a superior product like Honda and people who care about their customers, Ken Garff Honda in Riverdale is the place to go for your vehicle needs and you can bank on it!
