I have been with Long Subaru for over half my life. The first seven of these (high school/college years) were spent doing everything and anything - cutting the grass, moving cars, cleaning cars, running to the registry, driving all over creation, etc. I have been in sales and finance ever since, and I truly enjoy helping to make the car-buying process as easy and stress-free for my customers as possible. My wife and I live in Putnam, Connecticut. We have a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix named Schmidt, and two cats. When I'm not at work I enjoy taking care of my lawn, playing golf, riding my motorcycle, and watching any and all sports. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you!

Awesome People I had the best experience at Long Subaru. I was helped by Jim, Matt, and Steve extensively. All three associates made me feel comfortable and confiden I had the best experience at Long Subaru. I was helped by Jim, Matt, and Steve extensively. All three associates made me feel comfortable and confident in the purchase I was making. I went into the experience in an undesirable situation. The staff at Long all made me feel like they cared and wanted to better the situation. It is not always the case that you can say a salesman is a good person, rather than just a good salesman. After working with all three associates, I feel confident in saying that they are great salesmen AND great people. I did not feel any pressure throughout my experience and I'm in love with my new car! More

We hadn't expected to purchase a Subaru at that time, but our interaction with Matt was very helpful. He did a great job of selling the product without being pushy - which is usually a big turn off for me with a dealership. When we were again in the market more recently I had already decided that I had wanted Subaru and returned to the dealership. In my return trip I worked with Matt again, mostly, though did encounter other sales representatives and found them all to be very helpful. Despite a few back and forths with some decisions - and needing to wait for the right time to finally purchase the car - everyone was both helpful and patient with us. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5-stars was that the process to finalize purchase of the vehicle (financing, dealing with the RMV, etc...) was a bit of a bumpy. There was a forgotten signature and I had to make several trips back and forth to the dealership between picking up the car, getting the plates/registration, the inspection completed, and a few rushed trips to the RMV regarding transfer of an old set of plates onto another vehicle (that the dealership wasn't directly helping with). In retrospect it would have been helpful for their to have been more discussion about this process (to complete the car purchase) and - ideally - to have been able to stop by and pick up the new car all in one go without needing to return (or returning once). Still, I'm really enjoying the vehicle so far (about a week in, now) and would definitely consider returning to this dealership in the future. I would very much recommend! More

Quick follow up We purchased a 2016 outback on July 2017. I had a great experience with purchasing it, they accommodated my every need throughout the purchase.
