I havent bought a car in some time and had heard some negative things about my local dealerships. I opened my horizons to look at dealerships in Fort Wayne. I’m definitely glad I did! Outstanding Service Before, During, and After the Sale I bought a used Chrysler Pacifica from Don Ayres on 3 November 2019. We live 5 hours away, but they had the best price on the vehicle we wanted. I had I bought a used Chrysler Pacifica from Don Ayres on 3 November 2019. We live 5 hours away, but they had the best price on the vehicle we wanted. I had two trade-ins and I sent them pictures of both before hand and they gave me what I thought was a ballpark estimate via email. I put down the deposit and we made the drive down the next day to close the deal. We arrived at the dealership and the salesman we'd been working with, Matt Walker, was waiting outside for us. He took the keeys for our trades and we went in to see the Pacifica. Matt suggested we take a test drive, and while we were driving, I noticed that the LaneSense system wasn't working and had an error in the dash. They had their techs look at it, but they couldn't fix it. Matt suggested that because we had traveled so far to get there, that we finish the deal and then I could take it to our local Chrysler dealer to ahve it repaired and then send Don Ayres the bill and they would reimburse me. I appreciated that they immediately came up with the solution that was most beneficial to me as the customer, and they essentially agreed to cover a repair they had no idea how much was going to cost them. In the mean time, I was expecting to have to haggle with a low-ball offer on one or both trades. Nope. They gave me exactly what they quoted me via email, with the paperwork already completed. No crazy fees or add-ons were snuck in. Only the standard processing fee as advertised up front. They had the "we owe" paperwork for the repair all written up just as we agreed to. The finance department asked me if I wanted the extended warranty, which I declined, even thought the price was pretty good. No haggle, no high pressure. Just said "ok" and checked the declined box and that was it. There was some confusion about the amount of sales tax they needed to collect because we were out of state. Total, we spent about 1.5 hours at the dealership including the 15 minute test drive. It would have been about an hour if we didn't have the LaneSense problem. Probably the best car buying experience I've ever had. When we got the paperwork in the mail two weeks later, there was a check for the difference in sales tax included. I took the van in to have the LaneSense system repaired, and expected to have to haggle with Don Ayres when the Chrysler dealer estimated $800 to replace the front camera. I called them with the estimate, and they didn't even flinch. Said no problem, send us the bill when it's fixed. I sent them pictures of the bill via email, and received a check in the mail in less than 5 days for the exact amount of the repairs. I would gladly drive 5 hours to buy another car from Don Ayers Honda. I can't recommend them highly enough. More

At first I was a bit skeptical with the car, as I was looking for certified pre-owned, but Matt soon assuaged my fears. After initial consultation, I went home and looked at the vehicle history report, and I became worried that the Civic may be a lemon. I met with Matt the next day, and let him know my concerns. He responded by taking me to the dealerships service department to have a technician go line by line with me. It became apparent that the car was fine, and that I had let the vagueness of the vehicle history report get to me. Matt was simply concerned with getting me a good deal on a good car. I went ahead with the purchase, and am very glad that I did so. I would recommend both Matt Walker and Don Ayres Honda to others looking for a vehicle, new or used. More
