I initially posted a 1 star review because of an issue I had with L2 charging after picking it up on Friday 8/28/26. I had stated that it took all day to complete the PDI and may have not been ready. The had with L2 charging after picking it up on Friday 8/28/26. I had stated that it took all day to complete the PDI and may have not been ready. The codes that appeared when I got home on the Lexus phone app went away later in the evening and they never showed up in the car on the dash. When my wife and I went to charge at a local L2 charger it would start up initially and then power down again. The RZ's come with 2 adapters, one is larger and because of the location in the box it is the first you see. I grabbed it and made the assumption that it was a universal interface for CCS to NACS. All Lexus RZ's for 2026 have native NACS (Tesla Supercharger) interfaces so you don't need any adapters for the Tesla DC fast chargers (Great for Toyota/Lexus) this is one of the reasons for my purchase. In essence there are 2 adapters one is for L2 AC charging and the other is for CCS DC fast charging. The research I performed before purchasing my 1st EV was missing some info, I did not know that the CCS or J1772 had DC fast chargers. This larger adapter is for CCS1 to NACS DC rapid charger systems and not a universal interface. I scanned the 2D QR code on both adapters but the number that came up gave no information. I took pictures of the small text lettering on both and the information is only for safety. I went through the entire charging section of the Lexus RZ users manual, there is no information at all on the adapters and the zippered box the adapters are stored in have no card or tag describing the adapters standard. I even downloaded the PDF versions of all 5 manuals and could not find any information regarding the adapters. I went back to the dealership and Doug was very helpful, he had Irvin look at what I was doing (Irvin owns an RZ) and he quickly and politely showed me I was using the wrong adapter. He said try the smaller adapter, I hooked it up at the dealership Charge Point and it quickly initialized and started charging. This was my mistake as I should have tried both before filling out my review. Lexus/Toyota has also clearly missed the mark here, at the very least they could have put I/F standard and type labels on the interfaces directly along with description cards inside the storage box. If the larger charge interface had stated J1772 DC fast charging interface I would have immediately known it was the wrong one for AC L2 charging. The L1 charger you hook up in the garage can't be confused because it plugs directly in just like the Tesla superchargers with a NACS plug. I do feel dumb but at least it wasn't for a lack of reading directions or checking user manuals. This dealership was excellent and the pricing was up-front and straight forward. I never felt pressured and would definitely return in the future for another purchase. More

My Wife and I just purchased a new Lexus RZ450e Premium this week from SS Lexus. This car had just come in from the factory and only had 2mi on it when we signed the purchase documents. The vehicle neede this week from SS Lexus. This car had just come in from the factory and only had 2mi on it when we signed the purchase documents. The vehicle needed to have the Pre-delivery Inspection completed so we were told to expect it to be ready the next day. I spent most of Friday waiting for a text to tell me it was ready. I was told by the salesman perhaps we could reschedule the pickup time, I said I had already pulled the funds for payment and asked why it could not be ready before closing time. I was eventually texted back it would be ready at 1830. We picked it up at around 1900, they asked if there was anything we wanted to go over but as a Techie I prefer to learn new stuff Hands On. I spend some time on Friday evening getting the Lexus App installed and working. Strange thing, there were two alerts right away on the Lexus App for Vehicle health. One was for Vehicle Stability Control (VSC, TRAC) but I had no warnings or issues driving it home. The other was for Advanced Ultrasonic Detecting and Ranging System. The ACC seemed to work fine so I dismissed both as codes that may not have been cleared before leaving the factory. Skip ahead to Saturday evening my Wife and I tried to perform L2 charging at 3 different charge stations (one of them 2x) but the car would start charging for a short time and then stop or timeout. This occurred on both ChargePoint and EVgo stations. The Tesla Stations in our neighborhood were all full and I really didn't want to perform a DC fast charge right away. After spending at least 2hrs trying to get a L2 charge we gave up. The car is currently charging at home L1, and it will be almost 2 full days to bring it up to 80% before I can take it back to the dealership. I have owned only Toyota's the last 20yrs and have never had any real problems (2 hybrids and one Tacoma). At this point I am not so sure about the reliability of Lexus EV's. Perhaps I was just unlucky but all these New EV's are coming from Japan Factories so I can't really understand how this made it past QC. More

I reached out to Lexus Superstition via their website, inquiring about placing an order for GX550. Mayra Renoza responded via email that I have to come in person to place the order, and that "in-house" is inquiring about placing an order for GX550. Mayra Renoza responded via email that I have to come in person to place the order, and that "in-house" is the only way they would take an order. I replied that I would be happy to stop by, and asked for confirmation that they would take an order of my desired specs ... to which Mayra responded that they actually dont take any orders on GX550. I cannot tell whether the contradictory information I received reflects a dealership-level issue or Mayra’s individual conduct, but the effect is the same: it pushes customers into the showroom presumably to redirect them to other vehicles. Either way, the interaction undermined my confidence in Lexus Superstition. More

I have purchased Lexus vehicles in Canada and the United States ever since I saw the first Lexus add in Scientific American. I have purchase Lexus vehicles on the East Coast and West Coast. I just met the States ever since I saw the first Lexus add in Scientific American. I have purchase Lexus vehicles on the East Coast and West Coast. I just met the most authentic sales team I have met in my travels right here in Superstition Springs AZ. I had just had a sales representative at another dealer in Scottsdale sell a vehicle out from under me by going back on a written promise. I checked with the dealership in Superstition Springs. This dealership got me into the same vehicle I lost out on, 4 days after the other sales group cut my legs out from under me. During the whole processes the dealership in Superstition knew nothing about the previous situation. This dealership did not have all the bells and whistle of the first dealership showroom I went too. The bells and whistles at this dealership were their people at the Superstition. I am an old country boy who got lucky in life and what I found out is that good people always beat out glitz and glamor of a pretty show room. Superstition is a winner dealership. Even though it is an extra 1/2 hour from my current dealership, they won my business. If your looking for a Lexus, I would say, drive an extra mile or two and get to know what real services is like.
