I Must Be Dreaming After spending the traditional “ Don’t Waste My Time” at an Acura and two Hyundai Dealerships my wife and I turned to each other in frustration I said After spending the traditional “ Don’t Waste My Time” at an Acura and two Hyundai Dealerships my wife and I turned to each other in frustration I said “ I’m done “ she said “ I’m not, let’s go to Bay Ridge Subaru. The car got great reviews in Consumer Reports “. From the moment we walked into the Show Room I knew something was wrong. We were greeted by staff who actually made eye contact. When a sales person was not available we were asked to be patient and Chris spent time with us answering questions and showing us floor models. I must have been dreaming because he was courteous informative and highly professional. When a sales rep was available Chris wished us good luck and introduced us to Andre. I figured that all was just a fluke and was I wrong. Andre was just as knowledgeable courteous and professional even sharing facts when he didn’t know reached out to obtain the correct information for us. We chatted on multiple planes, after a test drive we settled on a selected car model style and package that exactly meet our needs. None of this could be accomplished with the professional assistance of Andre. Two helpful staff at a Car Dealership? What country am I in? It only got better after that. Mike the Sales Manager complemented the group and allowed me to play “ Let’s make a deal “ as we bantered back and forth sharing insights tactics and professional opinions and options it struck me “ How long has it been since I made a car purchase that was hassle free, fair, truthful, with respect each side of the table “ Every time we poised a question Andre was there in the information. When it was monetary in nature Mike was there to step in. When we asked for 24 hrs to seal the deal we were not hit with the hard sell line “ what would I have to do to make you purchase now? “ The next day a follow up call from Andre lead request to a request on Color and trim. Rather than hear the price was good for inventory only vehicles he got back to us that Mike would find the car for us. It gets even better when we came down to seal the deal with Mike and Andre my wife noticed an option that was missing. Rather than hard sell the deal Andre stepped back and explained to her the options to provide her request. A new price point had to be negotiated no problem for Mike the car was in stock the deal was sealed. Why did I provide you with such detail? Because when you visit Bay Ridge Subaru you are are treated like family the moment you are greeted and not viewed as a potential commission. When was the last time that happened to you? It didn’t end there. Mike and Andre explained the final steps when we picked up the car. This environment was found with Roy the Finance Manager and high marks and kudos for Chris whose time effort and patience working with my wife explaining how to use all the features of her new car and how to maximize her new driving experience. When was the last time a car salesperson gave you their card and said please call me with any questions because it was a lot to absorb at once. So Bay Ridge Subaru is a FOUR STAR business where the customer comes first. This is our first Subaru and look forward to more in the future as well as referring anyone interested in their brand. You won’t be disappointed. Remember 80% of all Outbacks are still on the road after 10 years. More

Utter disrespect for customers I bought my Subaru from this dealership. I had a 11am appt scheduled for a yearly state inspection and oil change. I arrived 20 minutes early, so that I bought my Subaru from this dealership. I had a 11am appt scheduled for a yearly state inspection and oil change. I arrived 20 minutes early, so that everything would be on schedule. My car was promptly parked in the back lot and not even LOOKED at until 1:15pm, over 2.5hrs later. I didn’t leave until 1:45pm. I was there for over 3 hours for an inspection and oil change. Would this be acceptable if you showed up for a doctors appt and had to wait 3 hours? No. Absolutely not. Unprofessional and completely lacking in customer service. There were no updates, and they only looked at my car after I kept questioning what the status was. This is the second time in as many years that this has happened at this dealership. I plan to purchase my next vehicle elsewhere, and whenever possible, get service from another authorized dealership. More
