Have been going to this dealership for many years, since we first leased a Subaru Legacy from them. Everyone is always helpful, pleasant, and professional. This last visit, the advisor, Michael Dao, was very nice and listened carefully to my concerns, reassuring me that they would research the recent history of the car's tire issues. He also warned me right up front that the wait time was pretty long at that point, thus giving me the choice to come back another time if I preferred; I appreciated the honesty. Tire problem now seems to be corrected, and it was a pleasant experience. More

I lost trust during this visit. There were discrepancies between what was shared with me, what was present on the vehicle inspection report, and my general experiences with other dealerships and service pro between what was shared with me, what was present on the vehicle inspection report, and my general experiences with other dealerships and service providers on the whole. The cost for service was wild compared to prior experiences too. One day prior, my wife had her vehicle serviced and they told her there was a broken lug nut that needed to be replaced. Not that they broke the lug nut (or the stud) but that it was broken. They charged her $15 and no labor to replace the part. On the phone, I was told that I had "a couple of broken lug nuts" and when I asked for more detail it was "driver's side front and rear each have one damaged stud and a missing lug." Over the phone, the repair was quoted at around ~$180 to have those two studs and nuts replaced. They were already rotating the tires and servicing breaks so those would have been available. I understand they may have shop minimums, but when my wife and I had two drastically different experiences, it broke our trust. If visiting the dealership for service feels like we're rolling the dice, I don't want to go. EDIT: For what it's worth, they have already reached out to me to try to make it right. They asked me what else they could do for me and I said nothing. I don't mean to be obstinate or unfair, but I don't have the finances to gamble on whether I'll get the good deal or the bad deal. Every time I visit the service center I am amazed at the really GREAT customer service. Polite, not pushy, affordable, and a great customer lounge are all part of this great experience. Mike was my service really GREAT customer service. Polite, not pushy, affordable, and a great customer lounge are all part of this great experience.
