Two finance managers there have recently duped my wife into $6000 extended warranties for her new 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid! The extra warranties – $4000 Vehicle Service Contract and $2000 Battery Protectio into $6000 extended warranties for her new 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid! The extra warranties – $4000 Vehicle Service Contract and $2000 Battery Protection– offer benefits that are already covered under Toyota’s OEM warranty! And the catch/trick is that they won’t pay a dime if your car is still under OEM warranty! For example, The battery protection warranty covers only 7 years from the date of car purchase while Toyota original warranty covers 10 years, 150,000 miles! Therefore, it is useless and a 100% rip-off!!! Luckily we found out a few days later that we had been cheated and fought very hard to get rid of the fraudulent warranties. My advice: if you have bought extended warranties recently or in the past few years, hurry up and cancel it. By law, you can cancel the vehicle service contract and the battery protection warranty anytime. More
