"Here in Pittsburgh from Out of Town - Great Service"
Here in Pittsburgh because of unexpected death in family. A warning light came on - and was afraid to drive back to DC with this issue. They took me at the last minute - were efficient - honest and ordered a small interior part w/ a rip on it. Could NOT have been happier. If it wasn't so far, I'd skip the DC dealer and come back here all the time!
"Best Car Buy Experience Yet!!"
First off, TREVOR is the best car salesman I have ever worked with. This was my 4th car I have purchased and my second VW from Number One Cochran. I did unfortunately have a bad experience purchasing my first VW from Number One Cochran a few years ago, but it was just a bad employee that no longer works there and not Number One Cochran itself. BUT Trevor definitely made up for it by going above and beyond to make sure this time was nothing like last. He did not forget a single thing i said i wanted. I left with the vehicle I exactly wanted! His Sales Manager Jess and Finance department, Brandee, were also exceptional and made the process so easy! I financed my car and was out the door in less than 30 min after we came to an agreement on a price! THERE WAS NO PRESSURE at all to buy anything the whole time! All they cared about was making sure i was happy! I will continue to buy cars from Trevor and Number One Cochran for as long as I can! I have already recommend 2 coworkers to stop in and check them out!
Also, the service department at the South Hills location is exceptional. Mike is who I usually deal with, he knows me before he even looks at my paperwork! I would highly recommend stopping in and talking to someone.. they can also help you find different makes and models since they have so many other stores!
"paid over $1,000; issue was not fixed"
By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Took my VW Jetta in because the engine light was on and the car was puttering. We were going to junk it, as it has over 150,000 miles on it and it is only worth $250. They assured me the car was in good condition and only needed a few things replaced. I paid $1,000 to have the coil packs replaced and a few other things. Two days later while driving, the engine light comes back on and car is puttering (same issue). After spending $1,000, I took it back and asked if they could diagnose the problem (they never fixed the original issue). Said they would have to charge me another $100 to diagnose it. When I told them I did not want to put another cent into it without knowing what was wrong, they offered to buy the car from me. What a slap in the face. I went to the dealership in person and asked to speak with the manager to see if they could diagnose the issue free of charge, and THEY SAID I COULD NOT SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I will never, ever buy another Volkswagen, because I cannot stand to work with their representatives. I will be calling news stations and am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau.

I took my jetta here for a simple dignostic.no care was taken with my vehicle.the protective shield is held on by 8 screws, they put 3 back in.Not only just 3,but they were different screws the thread pitch was completely different yet the forced them through anyway ruining the clips.if you love your vw dont let these people touch it.
"Reckless service management"
- Abdukhamid Abduhamid
I took my Volkswagen Passat to the service department of Cochran Volkswagen in 2755 West Liberty Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15216. The reason why I took my car is that I had engine light on. Service advisor: 996906 Michael Hecker made a call to me and said that Ignition Coil and Sparks Plugs should be replaced in the car in order to turn off the engine light. I agreed and he did the service for $513.78 (USD). After 48 hours the engine light turned on again, I called them and they asked to bring the car. Then, they checked the car and Michael told me that engine light would not turn on again. Then, next day the same thing happened, I already took the car to them three times. I talked with the service manager: Justin Hergenroeder and he says that he cannot do refund and he asked to bring the car to the dealership one more time. Yesterday, 996906 Michael Hecker made a call and he asked another $750 for turning off the engine light. I already paid $513.78 for this service which was required to fix the problem. It means that they did a wrong diagnosis in the beginning for my car and charged money for that wrong diagnosis. I have a right to claim for my money back. But, a service management of this dealership do not care about this and they are denying that they did a mistake. It's a huge shame that reckless people like them are representing a brand and company like Volkswagen which plays important role in the Auto industry. I ask all friends to continue this with hashtags #MichaelHeckerOUT #JustinHergenroederOUT so they won't do these morale damages to other people.
