We bought the car here 7 years ago and I as with anyone who drives must go through the pain of buying a new car. All I can say is know what you can afford ahead of time and stay within your budget. We went from no car payment to $$$ per month and that is the shock. Then the insurance cost goes up and adds to the shock. It's the cost of mobility in our lives and you have to plan ahead for it. It is not easy. More

I bought my car in March of last year. Literally a month after I bought the car I had to bring it in for $4000 worth of work. Last month I brought it in due to the fact that the car had a Literally a month after I bought the car I had to bring it in for $4000 worth of work. Last month I brought it in due to the fact that the car had a leak and built up sludge from the cold weather my car was there for a Month. I had to pay $447 out of pocket and the warranty paid another $3600 for all the repairs. The next day after I took it home my car would not start and it was making a load noise as I was driving. They did give me a rental bc I was so stressed out about no having a car once again. The following day Mike who I beleive in the manager called me. Stating the problem was a "chevy problem" due it being an electrical issue. When I said my car never had these problems before and expressed my frustration his response was "You drove it of the lot didn't you?" and then said " It's not our problem it is a chevy problem, bring back the rental immediately and bring it to Chevy" and then hung up on me. He called me about 10mins later and said he was going to have someone come out and look at the car the following day and to keep the rental. But never apologized for how he spoke to me. I then received a call asking if I had remote start...I don't. They told me that they found a remote start and took it out to see if that was the problem. They did not take out a remote start they took out the LoJack which cost extra on my loan. Mike called and said that it had something to do with the computer and that if it acts up again I'd have to take it in to Chevy. Literally minutes after driving off the lot all sorts of lights are going off about my brakes and all wheel drive. My car also was once again not starting and when it did start it was after attempting to start it several times. I took it in to Chevy and gave them the receipts. After reading through them and looking at the car, they found that almost nothing was repaid. There was parts that weren't reconnected. The car wasn't starting bc a wire was hanging and was never reconnected. After they looked at the car it was another $3600 of repairs. When chevy contacted the warranty they said that they had already spent over $8000 in repairs for the car and that if I wanted it repaired I had to pay $519.77 out of the $3600 and that my warranty would end early due to them giving up so much money for repairs. This has been an incredibly stress few month between not having a car and spending money I don't have and on top of that my car also doesn't have a feature that cost extra on the car. This was absolutely not a good experience. More

Would strongly suggest putting your eyes on any car you buy from this dealer. I don’t usually write reviews, but they had the opportunity to make it right and then which is disappointing. Quick synopsis. • Replaced a part not asked for that was very expensive. Did not fix issue and would not refund or discount • Created a new issue I did not have b • Replaced a part not asked for that was very expensive. Did not fix issue and would not refund or discount • Created a new issue I did not have before it was worked on • Waited 6 moths for a part that I was never told was in stock until I emailed heated letter to manager. • I was told the problem they caused was going to cost 200+ then told later it would be 400+ • Asked to talk to service manager and was ignored • Clock and radio station erased and not set • Not sure if they have a wash bay but car was not cleaned • Brought vehicle back 3 times for a problem that was pre diagnosed and ultimately was THE ACTUAL PROBLEM, but repair was not attempted until third time. • Took 7 days for final repair that should have been hours even though I had set an appointment. Family member is a mechanic and per-diagnosed the issue but due to other job was not able to complete the repair themself. Original issue was not fixed after very expensive part was replaced even though I asked for another less expensive part to be replaced first. Service department response was that they have a fixed set of instructions provided by Nissan and must adhere to it for repairs. Don't believe that for a moment. If a part is broken Nissan is not going to mandate that they repair other parts first just because that have a "set of instructions". I get the vehicle back after replacing the part along with other smaller repairs and the original problem is not fixed. PLUS, I now have another issue that I didn't have before I brought it in. The vehicle is now dead every week to week and half, so I need to charge the battery every week and carry a jump pack to avoid being stranded. So, I call the service manager to explain the problem and he says this is what Nissan requires them to do. Well, the expensive part you put in to fix the problem did not work so put the old part back in and replace the part I asked you to do in the first place. No can do. Your part has been thrown away and we did all we can do, and you are out of luck. Try calling Nissan directly and see if they will help me. Nissan of course said your car is out of warranty and we will not help at all trying to resolve an issue with one of our dealers. Called back to manager and he said the best he can do is offer me 50% split on the replacement of the part I asked for in the first place. However, the part is on back order. Almost 6 months later I send a heated email to the service manager to see what the status of the back order is since I have heard nothing. I get a call from the service tech, and he says that the part was in stock for a few days and was shocked to hear that no one had contacted me. What a coincidence. I drop off my vehicle to be serviced, as I was going out of town (this is a work vehicle, and I cannot be without it for very long). The repair should take about 2-3 hours. The electrical issue that appeared after I brought the vehicle to them, I was told would cost me about 290 for diagnostic. I get a call about 4 days later to tell me that it needed a more comprehensive diagnostic, and it would be in the 400’s. I am not happy and insist the service manager call me to discuss the fees and terrible service to this point. 7 days total I get the vehicle back. The electrical problem is resolved under warranty, so it costs me nothing and the replacement parts asked for on the first place was 50% as agreed. The service manager NEVER called or walked out to talk to me when I requested it whole picking up the vehicle. Never again will I use the service dept at Arlington Heights Nissan. Very unhappy customer. More

4 & 1/2 HOURS to wait for them to install 4 new Michelin CrossClimate Tires and an Alignment. When I arrived at 10am. I confirmed my price was approximately $1,250.00 then when the car was done at 2:30pm. t CrossClimate Tires and an Alignment. When I arrived at 10am. I confirmed my price was approximately $1,250.00 then when the car was done at 2:30pm. the price was now over $1,500.00 and nothing extra was done from what we discussed at 10am. It’s aggravating to have to keep fighting here for what is agreed on. I bought the car 2 weeks ago here and numerous things were added without my permission by transferring what was agreed to on paper to a small iPad. Then your rushed through signing with them PINCHING THE SCREEN SO YOU CAN INITIALIZE IT. That way you can’t see the items that were added to it. Who would buy a 3 year windshield warranty for $500.00 when a new windshield from Safelight is $375.00 BTW, they can deny the repair if you didn’t change your oil on schedule. What does an oil change have to do with a rock hitting your windshield?? If I win the $100.00 give it to someone else who believes they too were ripped off. I want nothing more to do with this dealership. More
