Best car buying experience EVER!! If you want the short story... Go to Lenz Truck Center. They are the best. Ask for Mike. You will not be disappointed. Five stars all the way. If you want the short story... Go to Lenz Truck Center. They are the best. Ask for Mike. You will not be disappointed. Five stars all the way. If you want the whole story, read on... Over the past few months, it became apparent to my husband and I that he needed a new truck. We knew that he wanted a used Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport, but we weren't sure where to go. We live in Madison, and have only been in Wisconsin for two years, so I did my research online with cars.com and autotrader.com to look for dealers in the area. Our local Toyota dealers had some, but they seemed a little aggressive (we drove through the lot, and a salesman came out from inside and started chasing us down). We are not fans of high-pressure sales techniques, so we left. The other dealers in town just didn't have exactly what we were looking for. Through the above mentioned websites, we found a few trucks that we were interested in. We chose to go with one of the Toyota dealers in Milwaukee. They had, what appeared to be the perfect truck. We requested information, and my husband talked with our assigned dealer on the phone. He said he sounded like a 'fast-talker', but he was still interested in looking at that truck. So, we both took a day off from work (to avoid the weekend crowds) and went to Milwaukee to get this truck. I cannot fully express in words the disappointment we experienced. The dealer was nothing short of arrogant, condescending and rude. He lied about the condition of the vehicle and actually laughed at our potential trade-in. We left, disgusted and hopeless. We stopped by another car dealer on our way out of town, and they were no better. We were convinced we were never going to find the right truck or dealership. That night, after my husband went to bed, I went back to those websites again and found the perfect truck at LENZ Truck Center. It all looked great online, but I was hesitant (considering our experience in Milwaukee). I did some messaging with a customer service representative, and sent my email requesting more information about the truck. The next day, I got an email from Mike Buhler. He called me and I was able to briefly explain our experience in Milwaukee and express our fears and hesitation. I asked him if he could please be honest with me about the condition of the truck, so we didn't drive all that way just to be disappointed again. He said he would go out right then and double check the condition of the truck and get back with me. He did get back with me within 15 minutes (as promised) and gave me his word that everything was clean and in good working order inside and out. We were concerned about driving a distance, only to be let down once again. I called my husband, sent him the information on the truck, and expressed that I really trusted Mike. We talked about it and decided to go up that night when I got home from work. Mike was with some other customers when we arrived, but he was able to come out briefly and meet us. He told us to go out and look at the trucks and let him know if we wanted to take a test drive. We did, and were happy with the truck. We went back in and Mike spent time talking with us and getting to know us. We felt that he genuinely cared about our happiness. Mike's willingness to listen to our concerns and be patient with us showed he has a great deal of integrity and compassion. He made the whole process painless and as smooth as possible. Once we agreed to the truck price and the value of our trade in, we met with the finance manager, Dave Reilly. This was an equally pleasant experience. He found us the best rate and told us a little bit about our lender and even told us where to find the branch in Madison (they work with many lenders to find you the best rate). The whole process with Mike and Dave took about 90 minutes from start to finish. We were back on the road in no time, in the perfect, very high quality 'new-to-us' truck. Thank you so much for everything, Mike, Dave, and Michelle. We cannot express our gratitude enough. We are absolutely satisfied with the entire experience of working with all of you. The whole process exceeded our expectations. I couldn't wait to write this testimonial as I can't say enough good things about this dealership. They have taken all of the pain out of buying a used or new car. Lenz Truck Center will be our auto dealership from hear on out. We highly recommend them to anyone with their future vehicle needs. I bought my old truck new in 1995 - a Dodge Ram 2500 regular cab manual transmission 360 v-8. I drove it way past it's prime in order to send my kids to a good day care. Now that they are all school a regular cab manual transmission 360 v-8. I drove it way past it's prime in order to send my kids to a good day care. Now that they are all school age, I decided to retire my truck and buy a new one. I will only drive a manual. I found out that Chevy and Ford no longer makes manual transmission trucks and that Dodge was the only one who did now and that manuals were only available in the Dodge if you got the diesel engines. That meant I was going to get a Dodge with a Diesel - never owned a Diesel before. I wanted a 2500 Dodge Ram SRW Crew Cab Long Box Diesel with a manual transmission - turns out that this is a fairly difficult truck to find. I wanted a used one because the new ones were out of my price range - but I wanted a newer one with low miles. I am from Minnesota and I looked at all the local dealer in the Minneapolis area and found nothing. I sent many of them on a quest to find this truck for me - after a year, nothing. I started to wonder if they were actually looking. In fact, many of them were outright condescending when I said I wanted a manual. So, I started searching on autotrader.com for myself and noticed that Lenz always seemed to have a lot of big trucks and felt that there was a good change that they could find my truck. I called and talked to Mike Buhler and he started looking for me. After about 6 months, he found my truck. It was a great price and everything I wanted. So, on Martin Luther King day, I flew to Appleton, rented a car and drove to Fond-u-lac. The truck was exactly as described and exactly what I wanted. My brother is a mechanic and I normally have him look at vehicles with me before I buy them but I couldn't do that this time which made me nervous. I made an appointment with a local mechanic and when I took the truck on my test drive, I had it checked out. He said it was wonderful. No leaks - not any sign of a repair even on it. Break and tires were in great shape and he thought it had been very well taken care of. So, I bought it and drove it home. Mike Buhler was wonderful - he found my truck for me when no one else could. Took tons of pictures for me. He answered all my questions - and there was a lot of them. He even went into the dealership on a Sunday and pulled a car fax report for me so I could look at it before I bought my airline tickets. I had a couple of car salesman friends of mine look into it before I flew out and they said that the price was great and that their dealership wouldn't be able to sell it and the price I paid. The truck was exactly as Mike described it - I really appreciate his honesty and detail in showing me every little flaws so that there would be no surprises when I got out there. Overall the truck was in stellar shape. I got the ST model which is fairly basic. It does have electric windows and doors, air conditioning, integrated trailer breaks, heated power mirrors, transmission cooler, etc... It doesn't have the fancy stereo or the TV's in the headrests or the heated seats and such but then again, this is my truck not my living room. It would be nice to have some of those nifty fancy features but not at the giant price tag that they command. Mike made sure he understood exactly what I wanted and what I was willing to spend and then found it for me. He understood what I was willing to compromise on what was non-negotiable. Never tried pushing something on me that I didn't want just because he had it on his lot either. Mike was an awesome salesman to work with. Thank you! Nik helped me find the perfect loan for me and got me a great rate! I bought the extended warranty and he helped me pick the right one for me. Overall my experience was great. The only negative I could even think of was that if I was dropping $30k+ on a truck, they really should have been willing to pick me up at the airport. The car rental was only $50 and a taxi ride was $100 so no big deal. Besides, with the car rental, had I decided not to buy the car, I would have still had a way home. There were no more flights back to Minneapolis that day and I had to work the next day. Drive home was wonderful. Easy and fun to drive and got great gas mileage. Kind of sad to see the old girl go but this new truck will fit the needs of family much better. With 2 kids and a dog, the regular cab just didn't cut it anymore. Very happy with my purchase. More

About two weeks ago my boyfriend's truck caught on fire and was a total loss.. we were working with insurance company to get resolved and in the process started looking for a new truck.. On November 1 fire and was a total loss.. we were working with insurance company to get resolved and in the process started looking for a new truck.. On November 1,2013 we found a truck on the Lenz website that we were interesting in.. i emailed and asked to see pictures being there was none on website... within hours i received a email back fromm Brad Lenz which was asking his photo department to rush pictures so we could see it before we drove down from Oshkosh.. Friday night came and we decided to ride down and take a look at the truck.. much to our surprize the truck was everything Jeremy was looking for.. we told Mike Buhler that we wanted to hold the truck and would go to our credit union in the morning.. he was super helpful and made everything as easy as possible... I had worked with Mike about 15 years ago and didnt even know until we got to Lenz that he would be our salesman.. so it was wonderful to deal with a friendly face. On the drive home Jeremy said to me that he really like the truck and there was a noise that he didnt like.. we went to bank the next moring and secure funds.. Headed back to Lenz.. we explained to Mike what are concerns were and he had the service inspect the truck and they descovered a high performanace clutch was making the noise and it was normal... Jeremy was still uneasy... I then emailed Brad and let him know our concerns and he then reassured us that if something went wrong with clutch in first 30 days he would make sure we were happy... that was all Jeremy needed was the reassurance from Brad that he would stand behind the truck... we signed the papers and brought home the truck.. so after two weeks of sharing a car to get back and forth to work I got my car back and Jeremy got the truck that he has always wanted. Our overall expreienced at Lenz was a mazing, from Brad responding to me about the pics right away and Mike being super understanding and helpful... the service manager ( dont recall his name) explaining the clutch issues... We could not have asked for anything better. We will recommend Lenz to everyone.. we are glad to be part of the Lenz family.. THank you for all you did to make our experience extra easy.. you guys rock Jeremy Beck and Cathy Perryman More

I was looking for a Ford Expedition and they had a few there. I went online first to check there inventory and found one I liked. I went to the dealership to look at it to make sure it was what I wanted. there. I went online first to check there inventory and found one I liked. I went to the dealership to look at it to make sure it was what I wanted. I went on line and filled out the financing form fully believing that it would not happen, but Dave Reilly called me the next day and left me a message to call him about my options. I work third shift so we played phone tag for a couple days and I told him I would be in town that friday and I would talk to him then. within 10 minutes of walking in the door he had financing for me with no down payment and a very low interest rate. I'm so used to high interest rates and large down payments that I was in shock. he said I could drive it home that day. I decided to go home and talk to my husband about it because I didn't want to take on more than I could and Dave and Mike were very understanding about that because a vehicle purchase is a big deal. when I called them back on monday morning a told them I could buy the truck they pulled it in off the lot so that no one else could even test drive it. went in that night and signed a few papers and off I went. this was my second trip to them and surely won't be my last! If you are in the market for a truck, any truck, go to Lenz because if they don't have it on the lot they can find one for you! More

Mike was very professional -- and genuinely listened to what my needs we and I've got to be their happiest customer!! Mike Buhler was EXCEPTIONAL!! Mike was very professional -- and genuinely listened to what my needs were and matched me with the perfect truck!! This truly has been the best vehicle buying experience that I've ever had!! When I came to Lenz Truck, I wasn't quite sure what I needed -- and how that would align with my price range. Through our conversations, it became very clear that I had a couple of purposes for my truck. With that in mind, Mike (and his colleague, Nik) found the right truck for me!! I actually didn't know this was the right truck at first. However, Mike explained to me the features of this particular truck -- and why they were important for my situation -- then I knew that this was the truck for me!! Mike did not pressure me -- but continued to provide me information and to listen to my needs. Also, Lenz Truck has an incredible culture -- and their team works so well together!! Being in business myself, I'm very impressed with this organization. I would highly recommend Lenz Truck -- and Mike Buhler!! I know I wouldn't go anywhere else for my next truck!! This was my 1st visit to Lenz Truck, and I was 100% satisfied with the level of service and quality of their truck inventory. Mike Buhler was my sales associate, and was extremely helpful in helping m satisfied with the level of service and quality of their truck inventory. Mike Buhler was my sales associate, and was extremely helpful in helping me decide which vehicle was best for my needs. Mike took a lot of time to make sure we looked at all available options, and not once was there any pressure to purchase a vehicle. I decided on a new 2013 Ford F250, and Mike was able to put an above average trade in value on my 07' Cadillac Escalade. Mike also took it aupon himself to work through a few repair issues on my trade in, and went "on and above" to make the transaction fair for both parties. I can't say enough about his commitment to treating the customer with respect and professionalism and he is truly an asset to the Lenz Truck Sales Team. If you visit Lenz Truck make sure to request - "Mike Buhler"!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Mike for a job well done - A+++++++++++++ Sincerely, Matt S. (Winneconne, WI) More

This was my 2nd trip to Lenz Auto this year! The 1st time I left with a great truck that I've been enjoying for several months now. I worked with Mike and Dave on that visit as well and they were terrific. I left with a great truck that I've been enjoying for several months now. I worked with Mike and Dave on that visit as well and they were terrific. This visit I bought a GMC Terrain for my wife and once again had a wonderful experience working with Mike and Dave. I picked out the vehicle I wanted (Chevy Equinox) 1st thing Monday morning and called Mike and had him put the paperwork together. Dave is a financing whiz able to get me better rates than I could get locally for both purchases! They had the deal all put together. By the time we arrived after spending half the day traveling - it was literally 10 minutes before closing. We quickly took the Chevy for a drive (Mike had it all ready for us) and my wife took a walk around the parking lot while I was getting the deal finished. She sees the GMC and wants to switch... Mike and Dave stayed 2 Hours past closing, got the deal put together and paperwork all done over again (Dave even was able to get in touch with somebody at the bank at 9pm to change financing) and they made sure we left with the new vehicle with no need for a return trip until we're ready for our next vehicle. I will be telling everybody to call Mike when they need a truck - no pressure, he wanted us to get what we wanted even if it was a big hassle for him! It's funny because I read another review telling how he helped them early in the morning before the dealership opened... it is clear Mike and Dave are committed to taking care of the customer - regardless of the sacrifice. (Dave even stayed late to finish our deal after his 10 year old daughter was dropped off when he should have been able to go home and enjoy his family - she waited patiently while he worked until he got it all finished!) Thanks to both of you for helping us have a great time buying a vehicle we love! More

My trip Lenz Truck was very great. Looking for a different truck to buy, and gave Lenz truck a try. Was there at 7:30 am looking around the lot and saw i was a hour and a half early. To my surprise different truck to buy, and gave Lenz truck a try. Was there at 7:30 am looking around the lot and saw i was a hour and a half early. To my surprise Mike Buhler was already in the office. He is very nice and straight forward man who helped me get the best trade in for my old truck with over 200,000 miles on it. Best offer i would get he is honest about what i had and set me up with a very nice 2009 Ford F250 with a 6.4l. Nick Tries got me the the money i needed to purchase the truck i wanted. The staff is very friendly no pressure. I thank Mike and Nick working with me at early hours of the morning and getting me in my new ride and visiting with me as i cleaned out my old truck and loaded the new one and drove away. Any one who is looking for new or used truck should visit Lenz truck first before any other dealer. Thank you very much Mike and Nick. Eric Lehman More

Our experiance at Lenz truck was not at all what we expected. It's been six years since our last vehicle purchase from our local dealer. But heard about Lenz truck, And decided to give them a try. They expected. It's been six years since our last vehicle purchase from our local dealer. But heard about Lenz truck, And decided to give them a try. They at Lenz, especially Mike Buhler and Nik Tries made all our last purchases at our home dealer look like a joke. These two guys were fantastic. They made it effortless with no pressure at all. We felt totally at ease. We were on our way to a family reunion in northern Wi. and stopped and looked at a truck. They allowed us to put some money down to hold the truck until we could stop back on our way home. When we arrived and purchased the truck, we were trading in our old truck. Which happened to be packed full from our trip. My Wife didn't want to unload from one truck to the other and then again when we got home. Mike allowed us to take our old truck home and come back the next day to pick up the new truck. That saved alot of extra work for us. We love the new truck, and without Mike working with us, who knows if we would of purchased it. So a big thank you to Mike and Nik for making this deal come together. Will we come back to Lenz Truck ? Will we tell others about Lenz Truck ? Will we recommend Mike and Nik to others ? YOU BET WE WILL ! Thank You, Mark and Diane Reitz More
