2020 Miata RF GT + Ben Deming = SMILES FOR MILES!!! SMILES for MILES are plastered from ear to ear on my face! This has not just been an EPIC car buying experience, but one of the most glorious memories SMILES for MILES are plastered from ear to ear on my face! This has not just been an EPIC car buying experience, but one of the most glorious memories I’ll have in my lifetime! I bought my first 1999 Miata, Xena Warrior Princess, twenty-two years ago from my local dealership here in San Diego. She’s been an amazing daily driver since then! However, this past year, she’d finally started showing signs that she was ready for retirement as my primary vehicle. When I found out that the online rumors about the 2020 Miata RF Grand Touring editions having red leather interiors as an option were true, I knew that Xena WP finally had a worthy successor! For the 2020 Miata RF GT in snowflake white pearl mica/red nappa leather, knowing that I would also keep this next car long term, I was willing to special order it from the Mazda factory through my local dealership in San Diego at full MSRP, and wait several months for it to arrive. Capo Mazda had the car newly listed on their website at their “smileage rate,” which at that time was $2K under MSRP. I reached to ask what they would charge to deliver the car from San Juan Capistrano to San Diego, and Ben Deming quickly responded to me that they could either deliver it the next day/day of my choice at no charge, or they would happily pay for my train ticket from SD to SJC if I wanted to come up and drive it down myself since we were having such beautiful weather. WOW, just WOW!!! I wasn’t planning on financing, but Moe Afzal offered me the ten year extended warranty at a discount and 0.9% interest. My first Miata was obviously a keeper, and with Moe thoroughly answering all of my many questions and providing detailed PDF documentation about the coverage, I was able to make a fully informed decision of “Yes, please!” Tom Deering was also diligent about checking in and making sure I knew he was directly available to help throughout the entire process. Because of Ben and Moe’s great care, I didn’t need Tom’s help, but it was reassuring to know he was there. My original/main contact, Ben Deming, is an absolute ROCKSTAR, and personally “white glove” delivered my stunning 2020 Miata RF GT in "sparkling, iridescent unicorn white"/red nappa leather to my doorstep in San Diego the next day at no charge. During my time with Ben, I had his full attention for the several hours that he spent reviewing/signing paperwork with me in my living room, then driving both my 1999 Miata and the new 2020 Miata RF GT to Sunset Cliffs for a scenic photo shoot with both cars, and THEN training on/setup of all of the features of the new car with a gorgeous ocean view. Ben Deming is highly professional, friendly, courteous, authentic, enthusiastic, and with his “joie de vivre,” it is impossible to resist yourself bursting with “smiles for miles” from the inside out! Ben has a great passion/respect for the Miata philosophy of “Jinba Ittai,” as well as Mazda’s fascinating legacy in general. The pleasure of having Ben help create and share in this experience with me is something I very much appreciate and will never forget. Ben has gone above and beyond, even after the sale, to make this not just a wonderful car buying experience, but what will be a fondly cherished experience of my lifetime! After twenty two years since my last car purchase, Ben Deming and the Capo Mazda team had my brand new 2020 Miata RF GT’s steering wheel in my hands within a couple days. They made it so easy, such a magical, serendipitous experience, and it’s just the beginning! Thank you so much, and KEEP BEING AWESOME, Ben and Capo Mazda! ZOOM ZOOM!!! More

Found a gem of a salesman in Rick Katz. Real honest guy. Capistrano Mazda did well when they hired this great and good guy. Not once did my blood pressure go up unlike other dealerships. My dealings with Capistrano Mazda has honestly been the best dealership experience I’ve ever had bar none. I’m used to transactions taking hours as they try and sell you on additional services and items! Tom and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful when I arrived to pick up my car. Even the owner of the dealership helped out. I can’t recommend these people enough. What a great, great experience. More
