Sales team do a great job to explain the value in the offered cars and services. Completing the transaction with financial took away the great experience. Nidal upsold me on some stuff, but I appreciated his willingness to not only take the time to explain things but stay very late because of it. He worked with me to customize some post-car-sale options that I didn't realize they even did, since this was my first experience purchasing a vehicle at a standard dealership (as opposed to Carmax). The dealership was nice. Clean, attentive, didn't have to wait very long. The on-site vehicle options are decent. My transaction took a long time, but that's because I was the bottleneck for the pace, since I'm a slow person. At some points they tried to avoid getting into the specifics of where all the numbers were coming from on the total price of the vehicle. It's not an offensive practice, some customers are very stupid when it comes to numbers and how they relate to value, so I understand the practice because they're trying to avoid someone trying to save a penny and end up with a worse deal. It was a minor inconvenience at worst. I had to call 3 times to get someone though, when I had to go back to the dealership to finish the transaction. The first two calls either dropped or the receptionist hung up on me, but I'm giving them the benefit of a doubt to assume the connection just dropped. The car I bought was a higher cost than a comparable model than one I had been considering from Carmax. In fact, it was also a color I wasn't as interested in. So why'd I pick Toyota? 1. I bought into Katey in particular, but 2. and at least as importantly, they have CRAZY insurance/warranty packages. They're expensive, but as someone who plans to have this car for a while, and use it regularly, it's an investment worth making. It's a very nice feeling to walk out of a dealership with a used vehicle and not have to worry at all about whether they missed anything in their quality inspections. Overall I'm happy about my purchase, and they'll totally be one of the first dealerships I go to the next time I'm in the market for one. I was originally gonna give them a 4/5 for some combination of how I feel about the overall price I walked out with and the questionable front desk phone calls, but decided to do 5 stars because ultimately they exercised normal sales practices and nothing underhanded, took the info I gave them about what I was in the market for and delivered a satisfying choice for me to make, and had very positive attitudes throughout our whole encounter. And high value prices but within reason for the amount of value that gets you. I never got any impression of disdain or condescension or impatience or shady practices from them. :) More
