Extraordinary experience When I first came to the dealership, I was greeted by Mohamad T. Mayassi. I had a list of vehicles that I had researched online. Mohamad drove each vehicle to the front of the dealership for me to look them over. He arranged for my wife and I to have a test drive the following day. After the test drive, Mohamad presented a great deal on the vehicle we selected. From our initial greeting to the completion of the transaction, Mohamad was very personable and professional. He did not try to "sell" us a car, he set the atmosphere for us to evaluate the information he provided. Mohamad made easy for us to make the purchase. Mohamad is an outstanding representative for Charles Barker and Lexus. In our past experience, Charles Barker dealerships provide a high standard of customer service and we look forward to continuing this relationship. More

Great friendly dealership. I had a great experience purchasing a 2012 Lexus LS460 from Charles Barker Lexus in Newport News, VA. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Our car salesman, Mohamad Mayassi, was very service oriented and didn't try to pressure us at all. He is very people oriented and listens to what your issued are. Tony, the finance manager explained all of our options but said none of them were a good match for our situation. He then suggested that we consider leasing the next time we are in the market for another Lexus. Kevin the technology specialist explained all of the new technology that was different from our 2009 LS460 and programed our cell phones to work with the Lexus Bluetooth. He also helped us program our garage door opener to work with the LS460's buttons. So, if you are in the neighborhood looking to buy a new or used Lexus, don't hesitate to shop at Charles Barker Lexus. You won't be sorry. More

All purchases have been the same: - Great product - Knowledgeable folks - Straight forward pricing discussions - The 'extras' that we want; e.g. paint protection, pre-paid maintenance - Staff listen to needs and values - Staff values our presence - Professional treatment and no gimmicks Starts with Mohamad who has been working with us for months as we got ready and made up our mind. Feel like he would turn Lexus upside down to find what we want and give us a straight offer. Tony finishes the sale with a degree of no-gimmick/professional approach that was appreciated and refreshing. Kevin adds the post-sale instruction with a friendly and effective manner. Add all this to the kind of service treatment ("They always make me feel like a queen." says my wife) we get we get from Lilly and its no wonder we are repeat customers. See y'all for number 4...many years in the future: too bad Lexus is such a reliable car. More

Great buying experience for our first Lexus! My wife and I had a great experience buying our RX 350 at Charles Barker Lexus Newport News! From the moment we walked in until several visits later My wife and I had a great experience buying our RX 350 at Charles Barker Lexus Newport News! From the moment we walked in until several visits later when we drove our new car away, everyone was wonderful to work with, especially our superb sales rep, Mo Mayassi! Mo constantly strived to work every issue and answer every question and concern we had along the way and made us feel comfortable in the process—he is a consummate professional who puts people first and is the epitome of the definition of customer service – in fact, I looked up “customer service” in the dictionary and found Mo’s picture there:) Absolutely top-notch !! Mo was our main man but he had a great set of team mates helping him and us make the process flow smoothly: Kevin Morgan did a great job explaining all the technology and vehicle operations and he followed up with me yesterday on a few questions he promised to get back to me on—again, spot-on customer service! Tony Rutherford made the financial/business end of the experience a smooth process and was great explaining terms and conditions as well as service plans and other options/questions we had to wrestle with, in the easily understandable style of a seasoned pro – yet with the humor to (almost) make it a pleasure to sign our lives away :) ! Finally, Thomas Cahoon, provided the final touches that helped make all of your folk’s efforts come to fruition – everyone was not only extremely knowledgeable but had a warm sense of humor and made us feel at home --- as if we were part of a family instead of just working with a dealership – and that is a differentiator not lost on a customer and it especially made a very positive impact on my wife and me. He has been extremely helpful and very professional in my dealings with him. He is friendly and seems to know exactly the vehicle I want. When I stopped by the dealership yesterday I had no intention of purchasing another Lexus.. He showed me a convertible and I bought it! The principles surface from the second you encounter him. He assesses your needs: work, personal other sometimes special needs...e.g. transporting a disabled parent. The, customer interests, what does he/she want for these purposes, or needs: a "G" class or RX, maybe a sedan. Finally, what can the customer prudently sustain by way of financial burden: cash, loan, lease? Nothing pushed your way; he subtly lets the customer analyze his options, a choice made, he'll comment on it, maybe even suggest something else.
