One of the worst car buying experiences of my life… My wife received a call from a sales person, Paul, He told her they were looking for used cars and would like to offer an opportunity to get out of our wife received a call from a sales person, Paul, He told her they were looking for used cars and would like to offer an opportunity to get out of our current lease early, (by 1 year), and into a new one. Skeptical, my wife asked him specifically if he would be able to get us into a comparable vehicle, (Pilot Touring), for the same lease payment as we currently have. He promised he would be able to work it out because they had a large inventory of new Pilots, but were short on used vehicles. So we took him at his word and drove 20 miles to the Sarasota dealership when Honda of Venice is 2 miles from our house. We weren’t there 15 minutes when the finance manager broke the news that, with the trade-in, the new lease payment would be nearly double! Needless to say, after that bombshell, we were out of there. The worst part… no recognition of the inconvenience and waste of our time and they did not offer a single word of apology for the dishonesty. When our lease does expire in a year, our business will be going elsewhere. More
