Dear Michael Eng, I am sorry to hear about your experience. I wanted to clear up a couple of things that you mentioned in your review. 1) On 2/25/2023, you came to the dealership after getting four tires at COSTCO and having your TPMS monitor light lit on your dashboard. We charged you for our technician's time to look at your concerns and reprogram the sensors. Total charge - $193.99, including tax 2) On 3/16/2023, you returned to the dealership with the TPMS lights coming back on. The technician could not get the sensors to all read, and we recommended that you change all four due to age and or damage during the tire replacement at COSTCO. Total charge - $800.74, including tax. 3) On 4/21/2023, you returned once again with the TPMS light coming on and off. You told us the "light wasn't on now, but it was on yesterday." We took apart the car's rear and noticed a significant amount of water in the wheel well holding your spare tire and on the left side of your car. We ran a CARFAX, and they reported that the vehicle had been involved in an accident in the left rear, where the water appeared to be coming from - you never mentioned this, and it might have saved us all a lot of time searching for the problem. We informed you about this issue and spent hours looking for a permanent fix. We looked at the water-logged computer module that handles TPMS sensors on the vehicle's left rear and replaced it. We reprogrammed the sensors with the new module, and everything worked. The total charge for the new module or any work for this visit was ZERO DOLLARS! The cost of replacing the computer module and FURTHER DIAGNOSING your vehicle should have been well over $1000 for the parts and the labor. That is what we call GOODWILL and putting our clients' concerns first. We hope you have many more happy miles with your Subaru Forester and find that repair facility that meets all your needs. Respectfully, Eric Pagan General Manager Rye Subaru (914)967-6300 eric@ryesubaru.com

Dear Subaru of America and Subaru City of Rye, Unfortunately the engine for the 2011 Subaru Forester was involved with a Class action lawsuit for good reasons. The Subaru Forester 2011 engine was manufactured with numerous issues such as inefficent burning of fuel and synthetic oil. Those who won and who were elgible for the class action lawsuiy were those with a certain amount of miles or within the 5 year window period to apply for the settlement. My 2011 Subaru Forester was not elgible because the miles and it surpassed the 5 year limited warranty. The cost of a pre-owned engine alone cost atleast $5,000 including labor for a third party or more. If Subaru of America and City of Rye Subaru is so generous: Please replace my faulty 2011 Subaru Forester engine via "good will" I donated atleast 5 years of my time serving as an Auxiallary Police Officer in the City of Rye. Thank you! Kind regards, Mike E. 🙏🏾

There is much needed improvement needed for the customer service and car service experience. For example Paula Meija gave me an number for Subaru of America. I thought that was stupid and she claimed that the word stupid was a curse word and did not want to assist and address my car concerns. My car needed to be assessed for something connected to the sensor issues I originally had and was electrical related. Please find a third party mechanic or another Subaru and save yourself time, money and "emotional distress." They need to "put their client first and not only to meet their qouta of making a profit. It is obvious they cater to the rich and affluent.
