Update: I reached out to the General Sales Manager who responded publicly to my review. He has been responsive and is working to make things right. Once I receive what was promised, I will fully update this review with the outcome. Predatory Sales Tactics and Bait-and-Switch Experience I drove 11+ hours from Michigan to Nissan of Olathe specifically to purchase a 2026 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X R by Roush because of their advertised 0% financing. I asked upfront for a complete out-the-door price including all taxes, fees, and details. From the beginning, the process raised serious red flags: • They sent an “internal use only” worksheet with cut-off numbers and no Michigan sales tax shown. When questioned, the salesman blamed a “bad photo.” • I later discovered I would owe ~$2,825 in Michigan use tax at registration. The salesman initially claimed ignorance and said I’d be fine, forcing me to demand it be rolled into the deal. Once I arrived, they attempted a clear bait-and-switch: they tried to put me into a 2025 model with much higher interest rates (9.5%) instead of the 2026 model that had the 0% financing I came for. They also pushed extremely hard on expensive add-on packages totaling over $9,500 financed. It felt incredibly predatory — like they were trying to move an older truck off the lot while upselling high-interest financing to an out-of-state buyer who had driven a long way. The salesman even left mid-process and later texted complaining about his manager being rude to him. I had to repeatedly push back and make it clear I was willing to walk away before they finally honored the original 2026 truck with 0% financing. In the end, I got the truck I wanted at a fair price, but the lack of transparency, attempted bait-and-switch, and overall manipulative tactics made this one of the worst car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. If you value honesty and straightforward dealing, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Buyer beware. More
