We purchased a new Volt from Rami Alamawi. Now I know why he's the Number One salesman in the Number One Chevrolet dealership in Illinois! I knew something was different with Phillips the first time we walke he's the Number One salesman in the Number One Chevrolet dealership in Illinois! I knew something was different with Phillips the first time we walked in... the place was hopping! Almost every desk had customers. There was a sense of excitement and joie de vivre there that is hard to explain. It wasn't just Rami's professionalism, caring attitude, and product knowledge, it was that everyone at Phillips had a good attitude. You really can't do it any better than Rami and the whole Phillips Chevrolet team. Rami went to bat for us and got us a zero down, zero interest rate loan... something we were not expecting. About the Volt: if there's any way you can swing it... GET ONE! The online reviews were right. This car is very well designed, with a fit and finish you would expect in a more expensive vehicle. My wife drives it 90 miles daily Mon-Fri, almost half that using the electric drive, so our equivalent mpg is close to 80! Once she starts using a local electric charging station near her work next week, it will be 90% gas free. With our low electric rate with Ameren IP (we're on their Real Time Pricing program), our average cost per kilowatt is 5 cents. So it will cost us very little to run the Volt. With the gas savings, buying a Volt is like getting a $100/month discount off our car payment. I had been looking for a car for a couple of weeks and vacillated between new and used. When I stopped in Phillips on Friday, I really just said I think I might want a used car, but I wasn't sure. Mark, the Manager introduced me to Rami and in a short time I decided to go for a new car. I told him about my low credit rating and we started to look a cars. I did not have any knowledge of the new Chevrolet cars and was very happy that Rami picked a car that he thought would fit all of my needs. I drove the car, picked the color, filled out the app and sealed the deal. Rami showed great perception. He was personable, kind, funny and knowledgeable. I read people pretty well and was uncomfortable at the other dealerships that I had visited. Rami put me at ease right away. I will absolutely tell everyone I know about Phillips Chevrolet. Walking into the dealership I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to walk out with the car I wanted,a 2013 Chevy Spark LS, at the price I needed. Not only was he able to give me the car I wanted, he wouldn't be able to walk out with the car I wanted,a 2013 Chevy Spark LS, at the price I needed. Not only was he able to give me the car I wanted, he was actually able to save me enough money on the car for me to afford the 1LT which has power windows and mirrors. He was friendly and able to joke and didn't try to trap me into buying more things. Overall my experience was great and I'm glad I went there for the car. More
