Love that it was no hassle and didn’t spend the entire day closing a deal. Ernesto and Ramon were/are “The Bomb”! I purchased a dodge journey and Mikel was my salesman. He approached me and after a brief conversation about the vehicle I asked to take a test drive. When he returned he said if I was very interested in thi approached me and after a brief conversation about the vehicle I asked to take a test drive. When he returned he said if I was very interested in this vehicle his manager would take off $1,000 off the sticker price. All was pretty good up to the point when I sat down to start some paperwork. After showing me the pricing on paper I asked about the $1,000 off and he bluntly told me that he could not do it, that was the first thing. I then got on the phone with my insurance company to get a quote and as I was on the phone Mikel was playing games and texting. I asked him for the VIN and he seemed annoyed that he had to pull it up on his phone, he was not prepared with any information. After I agreed to continue on with the financing portion he then informed me that I would have to wait till Monday because the bank was closed and that he could not do any thing for me and I would have to come back Monday. It was very fustrating to know that this whole time he knew the bank was closed and that I was not going to receive an answer. He informed me that he would call me first thing Monday at 11am when he arrived to work. On Monday I called him at 11:15am and the receptionist informed me that he does not come in until 11:30. I waited until 12 noon to call because I had still not heard from him and when I called I was told that he is in the lot helping customers, now whether or not he recieved an answer from the bank he still should have called me first thing to give me an updated status of where we were at with the purchase. It was not until 12:30 he got a hold of me and said I was approved for the loan and that I could come in to sit down with the finance department and discuss terms. While on the phone I asked him about the tires on the vehicle and that if he could possibly have new tires put on because the tires were going to need to be replaced in under a month and he told me since I did not mention it on the initial visit that he was not going to be able to do anything for me. I did not mention it because I was not %100 percent sure I wanted the vehicle. He then told me he could give me 4 new tires but at the price he recieved them for. After sitting down with the financial department I agreed to go ahead with the purchase. After the purchase I asked Mikel about the tires and he said he would not be able to get the tires for me. If it was not for the vehicle and the vehicle only I would have never came back, I would not refer anyone to Automax ocala, I was lied to just to make a sale, I was not a priority. I just really liked the vehicle and the price was manageable. The management should be more involved in the process because I am confident they do not hear or see how the salesperson is handling the deal. I feel I should atleast be owed new tires for having a vehicle sold to me when they knowingly knew the tires were in bad shape, there is no owners manual nor is there the lug nut safety lock key. I was treated poorly but I really wanted the vehicle and like I said the price was some what reasonable. I appreciate you taking the time to listen to me and understand my frustration but I unfortunately will not do business with Automax Ocala ever again. Thank You More
