I Had a terrible experience with the Sherman dealership in Skokie. It's truly disappointing that I had such a terrible time dealing with them. It's unacceptable that a vehicle I purchased a year and a half in Skokie. It's truly disappointing that I had such a terrible time dealing with them. It's unacceptable that a vehicle I purchased a year and a half ago from them has been giving me so many problems and has required multiple repairs in such a short period of time. The fact that the dealership returned my vehicle in worse condition than when I brought it is completely inexcusable. It's even more outrageous that they expect me to foot the bill for the additional damages when the car is supposed to be covered by a 3-year warranty. This kind of behavior is not only dishonest but also a clear betrayal of their responsibility to provide you with a reliable and safe vehicle. It's clear from my experience that this dealership cannot be trusted, and it's deeply concerning that they have been so negligent and unprofessional in handling my concerns. Customers should be able to rely on dealerships to provide them with quality products and stand behind their warranties, but it seems that Sherman dealership in Skokie has failed to do so in my case. It's essential that potential customers are aware of my experience and steer clear of this dealership to avoid falling victim to their deceitful and unethical business practices. They ate liars, thieves, scammers! More

Cons: -They sent me home with a car that only had 1/2 tank of gas, unfortunately, I didn't realize until I was halfway home. I contacted them about the issue but aside from automatic email replies they h tank of gas, unfortunately, I didn't realize until I was halfway home. I contacted them about the issue but aside from automatic email replies they haven't shown much interest. I returned their call and they replied with another automatic email response. -End price ended up being 6k more than the asking price without explanation. -Even after agreeing to purchase the bogus add-on insurance from the financer he still wouldn't let up and get the ball rolling and just kept talking about all the benefits we'll have with it. I should have walked out then but I was just so tired from all the waiting around, which I assume is a common business practice. -Management is nice and accommodating but unfortunately, you spend more time with other people and not them. There's clearly some xxxxty business practices going on here, including the financer rudely judging the fact that I keep cars for a very long time and outright stating that his phone bill is about the same price as my monthly payment on the car will be as if that means anything to me and my personal finances. Pro: -Fair INITIAL price according to KBB More

I’d love to share the most terrible experience we had at Sherman Dodge today. I will not name the sales person as he was not the reason for the terrible experience. It was the management behind him. When we Sherman Dodge today. I will not name the sales person as he was not the reason for the terrible experience. It was the management behind him. When we arrived to see the SRT our sales person took the keys to the trade in that was paid off mind you. Showed us the vehicle in the showroom then I asked to be introduced to manager who was Reggie because we requested once the dealership ran the credit we discuss what banks would be our best option because we did not want the credit to take a big hit. After I met Reggie and started to explain our request he proceeded to cut me off and give me the exact plan of action I was going to ask him for. Great! Right? Nope! We sit and wait.. the sales person comes back to ask for a co signer and could not provide a exact reason why. Which already told me they ran the deal with banks because they realized their profit on this vehicle may have not been as high as they wanted. Before he came back asking for a co-signer he actually stepped away because I asked what our out the door number would be with trade in and money down, which we never got the out the door by the way. The sales person goes back to the sales tower to get an exactly reason why they want a cosigner. Then a different manager comes me and tells me “still waiting to hear back from the banks but..” then goes to explain reasons why a co signer could help. When I asked what banks they were waiting on he said you know like Chase, Bank of America.. I asked what information he needed from the banks.. he said an approval. So I explain that we were lied to because that implies Reggie ran the credit with banks and at this point we had already received 5 notifications that the credit was hit. This manager proceeds to stutter as I caught them in their lie then says he’ll have to confirm what Reggie actually did. We’ll neither manager came to speak with us after that because they knew they couldn’t lie anymore. Didn’t even have the decency to say bye as we walked out or a simple I’m sorry it was heads down at this key board when I looked their way. So many people told me Sherman will screw you over, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. And everyone who said this dealership is not for the customer was correct. This place is a xxxx joke and simply a waste of anyones time. Let me tell you I would of rather waste my own time being my own cashier at Walmart. We left and are still getting notifications about banks pulling our credit. More

Refused to fix their mistake in any way. I ordered a 2022 jeep rubicon limited edition gobi though Sherman Dodge. Patrick was the original salesman who I made out my order with. We copied o I ordered a 2022 jeep rubicon limited edition gobi though Sherman Dodge. Patrick was the original salesman who I made out my order with. We copied over the build that I had saved to my phone. Seemed fairly easy. I paid the $1000 nonrefundable order deposit and got a printout of my order. I was out of town when the order came in so I was unable to just visit the dealership and had to communicate through calls and text. I was passed along to Armando when the jeep was being shipped to the dealership. That was when I found out that around $3000 in extra options and the WRONG interior color was added to the order. 2022s were no longer able to be ordered so the only options would be to fix the interior, offer a discount on it, or offer a deal on a 2023 in a different color. None of which were actually offered. I received calls from Jay, telling me the team was thinking about me and they were looking for a solution, and then from Reggie, telling me it was impossible to order and swap out the interior. When I asked Jeep to help get them the parts, they were told Sherman Dodge had no customer with my name and were unable to help. Armando continuously reassured me that he was looking into other deals/discounts that could be made with the 2022 or a new order on a 2023 but could never give me any options. I then found out after a few days of them receiving the jeep, that they listed it for sale, at the same time telling me they were looking for solutions. It took them one week after receiving my jeep, offering only options to pay full price the way they ordered it, and then giving back my nonrefundable deposit. Their bottom line is clearly more important than any customer or any mistake they make. More

This dealership is as unprofessional as they come. I was in the process of buying a vehicle when Mgr Tony Hasan tells me “sorry” we decided to sell the car to someone else. This review is lengthy but I was in the process of buying a vehicle when Mgr Tony Hasan tells me “sorry” we decided to sell the car to someone else. This review is lengthy but everyone should see how unprofessional and discriminatory this dealership is….I received a call from Danae stating the vehicle I was interested in finally arrived. I drive over an hour to see said vehicle; I’m told to ask for Mgr Reggie Steel. Reggie links me up with Salesperson, Monique Smith. I show Monique the stock number and online ad for the Jeep GC I was there to see. Reggie has Monique running all over the place for almost an hour and then “realizes” that particular vehicle was already “sold”. So now for about another 30-45min, Monique is having to run all over the place to see if any other Jeep GCs in stock have the options I want. When they realize they don’t have any other vehicles I want (not sure why Reggie couldn’t tell this from his computer), the original Jeep GC magically appears to not have been sold. Reggie tries to link me up with another salesman who is older with an foreign accent. This salesman says he has the vehicle and literally tries to poach me from Monique! Now, Monique has been doing a fantastic job of helping me, so why would I ditch her to let this random salesman have her well earned commission?? I tell Monique this guy is trying to get me to go with him and that he has the Jeep. Monique finds out that this salesman was literally hiding the Jeep because he has another customer interested in it who was supposed to be 30min out- over an hour ago. Monique gets management- who doesn’t seem to care- to get her the spare key and they finally locate the vehicle I came to see. I see the vehicle and decide to discuss numbers. I’ve already been here for 2hrs and now I’m waiting on a really slow appraisal- mind you the dealership is not busy at all. During the appraisal, the Jeep I’m trying to buy suddenly disappears. Turns out that salesman with the accent kept a key and let his very late customer test drive it. By the time the vehicle reappears over 30min later, Mgr Tony Hasan is getting irritated I won’t agree to go to finance without re-inspecting the car that disappeared for 30min. Monique and I go to inspect the car and when we are about to come back inside, Tony Hasan tells me they decided to sell the car to the customer that just test drove it. Now if this dealership hadn’t played games from the get-go, I would’ve already purchased this vehicle and been on my way. I go back to the desk and ask for another manager and Mgr Jason Ryan waves at me from behind the desk. Jason tells me that it was completely a fair business practice to hide a vehicle for almost 2hrs and to drag out my buying process so that some random male customer with a checkbook can do whatever he wants. I said Monique was working with me and we were ready to sit down with finance, but now she loses my sale. Jason shrugged. Tony and Reggie sat silent. If Monique and I were males, this sale would have happened with zero issues and I’m sure the negotiations would’ve taken less time too. If you’re a female shopping for a car, stay away from this dealership. If you must go here, make an appointment with Monique Smith. I really hope this dealership doesn’t make it a habit of poaching all of Monique’s well deserved sales after she’s done all of the heavy lifting. I will never return to Sherman Dodge. More
