BE AWARE OF EARLY LEASE RETURN SCAM We were solicited by South Shore Hyundai to return our lease 4 months before the maturity date. When we went to view vehicles we dealt directly with t We were solicited by South Shore Hyundai to return our lease 4 months before the maturity date. When we went to view vehicles we dealt directly with the sales manager Mr. Robert Betts who was able to give us a great deal on a new Genesis G80. We were made to believe that it would be an even exchange and would not incur a fee associated with the early return of the lease. We surrendered our old vehicle and drove off in our new Genesis G80, and we were very pleased on the whole process. Unfortunately that was the end of any positive interaction with Hyundai or Hyundai Finance. South Shore Hyundai never advised us that they needed to sell the vehicle we returned before they can submit us the last bill. We only found out this information because we never received our last bill, and called the toll free number. We returned our original lease in May of 2017 and continued to make our monthly payments through July 2017, at which point Hyundai Finance advised us to stop paying on the vehicle until we receive our final bill. We never received our final bill and we were alerted by Experian that there was a negative report submitted by Hyundai Capital America for non-payment. We immediately called the toll free number and were met with a rude customer service representative, who point blank said deal with the blemish on your credit report and hung up on me. We called back to report the disrespect and were advised that there was not any managers or supervisors available to deal with any of our concerns. We were advised to write a letter to a special department to dispute the negative report to the credit bureaus and made a partial payment to the balance pending the review ad possible adjustment. It is important to mention that we always initiated all calls with Hyundai Financial, as they never called us concerning this matter. Hyundai Financial would be inconsistent with answering our simple question: How long does the process take? Finally they submitted us an answer via mail and simply said, after reviewing your dispute Hyundai Financial believes that they reported correctly and if we need to appeal please mail our dispute with new supportive information. With our written dispute we also mailed supportive evidence, specifically the unopened bills they sent to the wrong address. I feel lost at this point and we have been enrolled in Autopay with Hyundai Finance throughout the length of the lease (32 months) and I am also currently enrolled in Autopay with our new leased vehicle through Genesis Finance. Please be aware of this dealership, and also do not expect much from their Financial Department either. This dealership deserves 10 stars !! I had my reservations about ever entering a car dealership again after three very unpleasant experiences some years ago. I have to confess that I wa I had my reservations about ever entering a car dealership again after three very unpleasant experiences some years ago. I have to confess that I was quite surprised when I entered South Shore Hyundai. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by Mitch Zaitz. I was honest and upfront, told him of my concerns of being pressured and harassed as I was a few years ago. I was just there to browse and obtain some information on leasing versus financing. I never thought I would leave the dealership in a new car that very same day. He and the manager, Robert Betts, literally bent over backwards until the price was exactly what I could afford. I really did not believe leasing a new car could be so easy! The gentleman in finance, Kwesi Gyasi, was just as accommodating and exceptionally pleasant. All in all, it was a very good experience with no pressure and no complications. If you are looking to buy or lease a car, don’t hesitate to walk into South Shore Hyundai. More

We were doing our shopping process by going to several dealerships before stopping at South Shore. We met Troy Pitt at the door and he showed us exactly what my son was looking for. Professional, polite, knowledgeable, and helpful he along with Robert Betts made us an offer that we couldn't refuse. These two gentlemen along with John Rodriguez in financing made the whole buying experience worthwhile. My son left your dealership with the biggest smile in his new Elantra sport. Kudos to all the people involved in our process! This is my second experience with this dealership leasing an Elantra there 2 years ago! I would certainly recommend this place to anyone!!!
