Dear Mr. Sparkman, While we appreciate the effort to try and resolve the issues we experienced when dealing with your dealership, we've both come up empty as to how this could possibly be fixed. We were contacted a few times and offered three free oil changes to make up for our experience. That doesn't even being to cover the distress over dealing with Casey Kia. Firstly, we live in Virginia Beach so three free oil changes- the drive isn't even cost effective. I bought the car, signed the paperwork, was *congratulated* and brought the vehicle home as a gift for my fiance. As a family we decided to take our down payment and drop it off at the dealership together (as we were both excited to drive the car!) only to find out we wouldn't even be able to take it home. Can you fathom how heartbreaking it was to tell me wife-to-be that her car wasn't her car after we'd had it the entire weekend? Our sales consultant, Rob, was excellent. As we mentioned in our review, he was the only part of the experience that wasn't completely and utterly dreadful but I think part of that was because he was new and it appeared he had no idea that the sales manager was playing some sort of game with us. Sometimes they need to realize that its not a game, or a regular sales tactic- that a young family doesn't have money to throw around and that if you want to sell a car, if you don't want bad reviews, if you do want referrals you need to actually do some work to help that family. At least show a little humanity and after how the sales manager regarded us, I am not really sure how he sleeps at night. To add insult to injury, we went elsewhere and we were actually taken behind the desk and walked through the application process and they showed us why Casey Kia didn't want to work for us- because they weren't making enough money. They showed us the difference between the deal they went back on and the difference with how much extra they wanted or if we took the lesser car. We ended up with a $32k car (more than the one we tried to purchase from Casey Kia) and a decent interest rate because the manager actually wanted to help us. He made phone calls, he did the ground work and he made the sale. Much to our dismay, we don't have the financial ability to purchase another vehicle and let you try and show us a different side of Casey Kia. Sincerely, James and Jasmine
