Got exactly what I wanted in the end I went to Basney for a new car because my son has leased his last 2 cars and had great service and great cars. I was a little frustrated after my visit; I told the sales person that I wanted a new CRV and he spent our entire time together trying to sell me a used CRV. He never even showed me a new one. After I left, another salesman called me and said that he wasn’t happy with the way things went. He asked me to come back and he would make sure that I got a new CRV to test drive and keep over night. I instantly fell in love and bought that car. The moral of the story - Basney will work with you to make sure you get what you want. I will definitely go back! More

The freedom to test drive was also a big perk. The biggest negative I felt was the aftertaste of the experience with my sales guy. I had recently come from some church activities and the sales guy had asked about my church and we started a nice discussion. However, when I asked him about his faith, he shared he doesn’t believe in God anymore and believes in what Paul said “when I was a child, I spoke as a child.... but when I became a man, I put away childish things”. I personally believe folks should believe how they wish and I support him in his choice not to believe. However, quoting that scripture left a bad aftertaste that he believes I am childish for believing in God. I am not mad, sad, or frustrated at the guy. I believe it was innocent and not intentional. However, as a company owner, I don’t believe I would want a customer coming away feeling they are looked down upon as “childish” for believing in God while buying a van. More
