Hello, I took my 2001 Toyota Highlander for a transmission fluid change at the beginning of the year. On the second day, my car stopped working properly. I’ve had three cars serviced at your deal transmission fluid change at the beginning of the year. On the second day, my car stopped working properly. I’ve had three cars serviced at your dealership, and I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. My car is no longer running, and now I’m being charged $4,000 for repairs. I’ve left messages for the service department manager, but I haven’t heard from him. I’ve called twice, and the operator, Erick, keeps telling me that there’s no one to take my call. I’m very disappointed and have left messages for the manager. My only mistake was agreeing to the transmission fluid change. If I hadn’t done that, my car would still be running. Please do better at treating your loyal customers right. More

Beware of service! I was referred to Toyota by a family member who has purchased numerous of vehicles from Hamer. I purchased a certified pre-owned Toyota Tundra with 64 I was referred to Toyota by a family member who has purchased numerous of vehicles from Hamer. I purchased a certified pre-owned Toyota Tundra with 64,000 miles. Everything regarding my purchasing experience was positive and I was even looking forward to paying off my vehicle and purchasing a new Tacoma from them. My vehicle had a few issues, all which were handled under my extended warranty that I had purchased. However, recently my check engine light appeared due to an air injection pump. Upon taking it to service I discover that my warranty (that I purchased) will not cover it and was told it could be approximately $ 2,000.00 to repair. I did further research about the part and discover that Toyota issued a extended warranty for 10 years (from vehicles first use) or 150,000 miles, which ever comes first (my vehicle is a 2008 with 88,000 miles). Feeling a slight relief (as I am no where near the financial capability of dropping $ 2,000 on a vehicle I'm still paying for) I inform my service manager of the warranty. It was to my disappointment that the manager informs me that the vehicle was first used December of 2017 and my vehicle will not be covered. So, now I owe $ 12,000 on my vehicle. It has a severe power loss (referred to as limp mode) and will not go over 50 mph. The warranty that I purchased won't cover it. The part has a known flaw that allows moisture to enter the air injection pump and render it useless. Hamer/Toyota won't even so much as offer a discount. I depend on my vehicle for school, work, and to pick/drop off my children. I have owned the vehicle for approximately 3 years! I have purchased 3 vehicles (from a dealership) in my life and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. They will get you with a grade A sales experience right up until you sign the last paper and drive away. The only negative experiences I ever had was when I had to go into the service department. And unfortunately this time I was sent away worse than when I went in. More
