The worst experience ever Bob Baker Volkswagen is the most dishonest dealership I have ever worked with in my life. They gouged us with the price and the interest rate. The salesman promised $21,500 in total ,but he changed his mind to the total price of $26,000+. My credit score is 775 which is great, but wanted me to get 7.5% interest rate that is ridiculously high. Also, even though I gave $5,000 down they gouged us in every possible way. Bob Baker Volkswagen is almost criminally dishonest and I will tell all of my family, friends and Nextdoor neighborhoods never to go to Bob Baker Volkswagen Subaru because they do not care at all about their customers. Earlier than predicted! I have been waiting for the 2020 Outbacks to arrive. In July they were predicting they wouldn’t be in stock till maybe November. On 9/19 I received I have been waiting for the 2020 Outbacks to arrive. In July they were predicting they wouldn’t be in stock till maybe November. On 9/19 I received and email from Janette Cruz saying they had arrived and to give her a call. We spoke on the phone and she was able to compare my prebuild model with one that had just come in that day. It was almost a perfect match! (No wireless charging or trailer hitch). I scheduled a test drive for Saturday and BOUGHT my beautiful new car! Luiniery Batista and Seth Sonstein helped me work through unlocking my credit report (forgot I had a freeze on them). They made the buying experience completely stress free and FUN! More

Bob Baker and a sales associate Bailey Green has ruined the excellent experience that Volkswagen e-golf (a vehicle I purchased) provided. One thing I want to warn you is DO NOT TRUST Bob Baker Manager and SALESPERSON (Bailey Green). They need reconstruction of how they are managing their business (salespeople). Seth Sonstein manages Bailey Green. Even after a month later, Salesmen Bailey Green is still selling cars at the Bob Baker; Manager Seth Sonstein is not doing his job (I believe he is the primary source of the problem after having couple conversations (loan paper and Sep. 16 communication). Bailey Green is the salesperson who sold e-golf. He sold four cars (with three other friends). I have attached (or link) pictures of text how he changed his statements. He promised complimentary e-golf accessories, but I ended up getting nothing but his empty promises and attitudes. I was able to get an equivalent deal(car price) near my house that Bob Baker was offering to my friends and me. Bailey Green (Salesmen) promised accessories (waterproof floor matt, Starbucks gift card, etc.) that I was not able to get from other dealers. That was his sales pitch. So I drove 150 miles in LA to Carlsbad around 4 PM (Friday). I hope that you know what that means... TRAFFIC ALL THE WAY!!! Bailey Green warmly welcomed us and was able to process purchasing process right away. Along the way, I asked him SERVERAL TIMES regarding accessories he promised over text. He responds to me that Part Department is close. He said he will deliver by mail when the Department is available which is following Monday. I bluntly believed his words and promises. Make sure write out on a contract — verbal or text promise meaning nothing to Bob Baker and Bailey. We waited for about a week and called him regarding his promises. He flipped his statement. He had no intention to keep his promises. I hope that Bob baker understand how upsetting that is. Because of his promise, we drove 150 miles with a friend. I have complained about this matter to his manager. The manager promised to take a look at this issue. He told me he would get back to me. BUT Bob Baker MANAGER NEVER GET BACK TO ME. Maybe Bob Baker sold me a car, but in the end, Bob Baker and Volkswagen LOST my love for the brand "Bob Baker Dealer" and "Volkswagen". PS: Bob Baker called me three days after I purchased a car. Finance department person was asking me to unfreeze my credit to view. I told them that "I do not understand why you are requesting my credit report again where you guys have run my credit, and it was in excellent shape (above 820)". I have talked to the manager; the manager convinced me to unfreeze by stating that VW will not run a hard report. Guess what? VW run hard credit report!!! Additionally, the manager said he would call me back after they have done with my account so that I can freeze my credit right away. HE DID NOT CALL ME!!!. Seth, Shame on You. I am hoping to see Bob Baker correcting their malpractice. I will be contacting Bob Baker once again and will talk to the manager to see if they can do anything. I still do have some faith in them... .but we will see If this does not work out, I will contact the VW, report to BBB, and complete a CSI (customer satisfaction index). I have contacted Bailey Green, and he refused to send us what he promised except a one-person (Kevin). I hope that Bob Baker try not to use this as their justification. Manager Seth Sonstein dealt with me uninvited manner. He verbally abused me and commented: "you drove all the way to here to get just extra floor mat?" "I looked into this, and I am sicking tired of this" "I do not like how your friends wrote haterade or hostile review on yelp instead of resolving this with me." (FYI It has been 45 days since we purchased the car. ) He made me feel like I am begging for something. I do not want him to treat me in such a rude manner. So I asked him respectfully whether I could voice record this conversation. He said no... Moreover, He hangs off on me. The same day, I wrote a review at dealerrate.com and yelp regarding this unspeakable practice that Bob Baker is providing to their customers. Seth Sonstein contacted me (2:24 PM), which is the same day. I was amazed by how he changed his attitude and statements. He will send out a floor mat and others. He told me he read the review and how his name got mentioned. He asked me to delete the report as a return. I think this is how he keeps his performance/rate high. I could sense his mentality of how he underminds his customers. Seth Sonstein did not care about the problem that we were having with Bob Bailey. He probably advises him to sell a car in the manner. Presumably, he is the one who educated him and protected him as well. Only reason Seth Sonstein contacted me is this review reveals how he treated my friends and me. Seth was trying to negotiate the amount of mat he decides to send to my friends and me. I told him I have to get back to work. And I told him to do what is right. The same day(September 16, 2019), I got a text message saying that they are sending floor mat. September 19, 2019. I still have not received the promises. 150 miles away and taking more than three working days to deliver is not right. So I called the part department. They said it was on hold and they will send out today. According to Seth's text message, he sent out. September 24, 2019. I received the items... Many things that they have promised but few I received after about 45 days. It was not easy. A lot of emotional waste was there along with time. I have not promised Seth anything. I asked him to contact Kevin(one of the guys whom I purchased the car together). I told him that I would communicate with Kevin. It was awful to talk to him after countless verbal abuse conversation. He still calls me and demanding to delete my yelp review since they kept the promise (after 45 days late ? countless verbal abuse?) Please take a look at pictures. I have not promised any, and yet He still calls me? I believe these calls are unsolicited calls from his former customer. Again, I stated that he needs to contact Kevin to deal with these issues. Is there anything I can do about this nonsense. Kevin told me he got a few phone calls. He has been taking phone calls and communicating with Seth. September 29, 2019. Kevin sent me an unspeakable text message. He successfully runs a restaurant and got a review from a customer(?)... a terrible one. Please read this person's review. I think this review is something to do Bob Baker. I might be wrong, but I let you guys decide. Again, I am writing this review for future Volkswagen car shopper at Bob Baker. Watch out this unspeakable practice from Bob Baker, Manager Seth Sonstein, and Salesmen Bailey Green. More
