I came in for an oil change. As far as I know, that bit went fine. But I was informed that during the inspection of the vehicle, they had discovered a "cracked and leaking CV boo As far as I know, that bit went fine. But I was informed that during the inspection of the vehicle, they had discovered a "cracked and leaking CV boot", and that the repair would be 900. It was painted as a dire situation. Unable to afford the repair, I took the car home, and decided to shop around for price. However, the repair report didn't tell me which side the damaged cv boot was on. I attempted to contact Landers to find out, both by calling and sending a message via the Google business page. Both the voicemail and the message have still never been answered. Finally, I decided to shop around for a repair. I took the vehicle to three different places, and each one said they found nothing wrong with the cv boot beyond normal ware, with no need for repair anytime soon. I'm not sure if I was being upsold on a repair I'll need eventually, or lied to, or the techs were mistaken. But the combination of never hearing back and a seeming mastaken diagnosis left a bad taste. More
