Stacey took care of me when I took my car for inspection and auto butler. I asked about a recall on the battery and she looked into the situation. I had a battery installed and there was another year on the and auto butler. I asked about a recall on the battery and she looked into the situation. The experience was good for the most part however after having the oil changed in 2019 Legacy it was returned two quarts low on engine oil. Causing the low engine oil level warning to come on. having the oil changed in 2019 Legacy it was returned two quarts low on engine oil. Causing the low engine oil level warning to come on. More

I would typically rate higher, but I was disappointed in the communication to me and the repair of my vehicle. I was notified during my service that my rear brake pads, although passing state inspection, we the communication to me and the repair of my vehicle. I was notified during my service that my rear brake pads, although passing state inspection, were low in the yellow, and recommended replacement. I agreed and the brake pads were replaced. When I went to pick up the vehicle, my service advisor covered all the service performed. She told me the rear brake pads AND ROTORS were replaced, significantly increasing my bill. I was never notified that my rotors needed replaced, nor did I give permission to replace the rotors. I would have expected that if the rotors needed replaced for state inspection, I would have been notified. If I didn’t have the brake pads replaced (which didn’t need it at the time), I’m sure my rotors would not have been replaced. I don’t believe that rotors require replacement when brake pads are replaced. It didn’t register with me at the time the service advisor went over my repairs, so I didn’t question anything. It was later at home, reviewing my service report, that I focused in on the rotor replacement. I have brought my wife’s 2019 Forester in to Budd Baer for preventative maintenance every 6 months. I have had nothing but great experiences with the dealership, until now. I will continue to bring the vehicle in every 6 months according to the maintenance schedule. But I will be more cautious going forward (strike one). Thank you. Carl Battistone More

Brought my car in for oil and filter change and presented a coupon for $10 off. I was called back and I was told that it was recommended that I have the wiper blades replaced as well as having the cabin and a coupon for $10 off. I was called back and I was told that it was recommended that I have the wiper blades replaced as well as having the cabin and air filters replaced. I had left a second coupon on the front seat of the car for $25 off additional services. I was told that I could use that coupon for the additional services. When I picked the car up only $25 was taken off. I was not told that only one coupon could be used. This was not explained to me before I gave the okay for the additional services and I did not have the coupon in my possession at that time since I left it in the car. None of the additional services needed to be done at that visit and the coupon was no where near its expiration date. I would have bought it back at another time had I known about this policy. I’m retired and have virtually every day free and I live 5 minutes away so I could have bought it back without any inconvenience. Also, as an aside, the charge for the wiper blade installation was $17. Next time I’ll go to Advanced Auto where they install them for free. As I was finishing this review Stacey called me to tell me that she had just called “upper management” to see if they would honor the second coupon and they said that they would not so I increased Stacey’s review by one star and reduced Budd Baer’s by one. Seems stupid to jeopardize a future auto purchase for $10 More
