Horrible experience !! I recently purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu from Tom Gill Chevrolet. My mother purchased a 2016 Jeep patriot right before I did and actually referred me I recently purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu from Tom Gill Chevrolet. My mother purchased a 2016 Jeep patriot right before I did and actually referred me . I was very happy with the sales team and even wrote a positive review on here about my experience . But after I took possession of my car the nightmare started. I went to install audio equipment in my car and the installation team literally found a lake I could fish out of in my trunk . It’s a common problem with Malibu’s I’ve found. I called the dealership and they told me to drop it off so they could take a look. No big deal right ? WRONG ! Before I went to drop the car off I went to get some custom rims installed. The guys at the store come out and tell me that my tires have extensive dry rot and were the original tires from 2012. They recommended replacing all four Obviously upset I contacted Tom Gill and asked them to replace the tires since the whole point of me spending $15,000 dollars for a new car is that I wouldn’t have to worry about replacing anything for at least a year . I finally dropped the car off . Their own people confirmed the presence of dry rot but said it was insignificant. Which is obviously not true since when dry rot appears your tires have a limited life span . I expected both problems to be fixed promptly but I was informed that my dry rotted tires were built in to the cost of my car. Apparently if I wanted tires that weren’t pieces of xxxx I would have had to pay more money . These two experiences weren’t the only things to go wrong . My alignment was horribly off and my mothers new car had a check engine light turn on right after she bought it. She was told it wasn’t tom gills problem and they couldn’t do anything for her . Not to mention her cars alignment was horribly off as well. The point I’m trying to make here is that the management at Tom Gill is CHEAP and LAZY . It’s obvious they don’t check their cars before selling them and the customer service that they stress so much when selling you the car doesn’t count for xxxx once you buy it . DO NOT BE FOOLED! I would recommend anyone buying a car from here very carefully check it before paying thousands of dollars for something that you’ll have to fix right away . BUYER BEWARE! More
