It's been a month and a half since I dropped off my car.

I got a call to bring my Chevrolet Spark in for a recall since this is where I bought it. It On the first day after a 2 hour wait, I was told the parts were not available. The appointment was rescheduled for the next week. On my second appointment, after a 2 hour wait, I was told that during the repairs one of the parts broke and they did not have the part in stock to fix it. I was given a loaner vehicle. It has been over 30 days and to this date, the part is still on back order with no expected delivery date. At this point, my concern is that my vehicle is just sitting outside in the elements and its not being started or moved and this can cause issues in the future. I understand that the dealership has their hands tied, since they rely on the manufacturer to provide the parts needed to properly complete the repair. I have always owned Chevrolet vehicles, but I am very dissatisfied that as a company they cannot even provide an estimate of when I will have my car back when it was taken in for a simple hood latch replacement.

On Thursday January 31 I get a phone call stating that there is still no update on when the part will arrive and that I need to bring in the loaner vehicle because a new agreement has to be signed. I explain that I live 45 minutes away, work 2 jobs, and the earliest I would be able to come in will be Saturday. February 1st received 2 more calls stating that the loaner vehicle has to be brought in, again explained that which such a short notice I cannot bring it in until Saturday. They state that I must bring the vehicle before noon the next day or since the vehicle is equipped with Lo-jack it would be turned off. Today is February 2nd, I took time off from work this morning to take the loaner in for an agreement renewal. I was told the part was out for delivery. I was taken to my car since I said I wanted to make sure it starts. It did not start. The loaner agreement was renewed, and I left since I cannot afford to wait around. It is now 3:40 PM and have not heard back. From what I understand the Southern Group is a big company with many car dealers. For such a big company to keep my vehicle for such a long it is unacceptable for such a small repair. If this review was indeed sent to a General Manager, then I at least expect. an alternative solution. I want my vehicle back in running condition.
