One suggestion would be to present the invoice for the customer to view prior to payment and breakdown labor costs to include hours worked. This will allow the customer to fully understand the prices and can discuss any discrepancies or deduct coupons. The price quoted over the phone should match what the invoice when walking in to pick up the car. Transparency is key in communicating the cost. Nobody likes surprises.
