This is my second new vehicle purchase from Toyota of Des Moines this year. I was involved in a motor vehcile crash 5 months after purchasing my new car. The Camry's safety features were impressive. I was very impressed with the service I received from Steve Henigan. Steve Henigan provided prompt responses before and after I purchased the vehicles. He provided the answers to my questions and competive pricing. When I purchased my first vehicle, I shopped online. I contacted 3 Toyota dealerships in the surrounding area and Steve from Toyota of Des Moines was the only person who responded. Steve found the exact features in the car I was looking for and gave me the best price right up front. With my second purchase I told him what I was looking for and he found it again. The process of buying a new car from Toyota of Des Moines went so smoothly, I would highly recommend this dealership! More

Really appreciate Steve Hennigan's service in leasing the car - friendly, no high pressure sales, answered our questions, and kept in contact with us. I'd go back to him in the future. The only down side to our experience is when we met with Jeff Morman, finance person. The first thing he did was show us a laminated handout about gap insurance, windshield coating protection and disability insurance with what our lease payment would be with these options. Suggestion - That information should be brought up at the time of negotiating purchase price in the same way Steve discussed with us about paint protection, etc. It caught us off guard because we had negotiated a monthly lease payment. At the finance stage of signing papers is not the time to discuss more options. My wife and I expressed that to Mark who did not acknowledge our concern. We did not select any of the options. The second thing that bothered us with Mark is when he pointed out that if we go over 12,000 miles in year, we will be charged .15 cents/mile. We told him this was the first time we were informed of this. Again, he did not acknowledge our concern. Bottom line is we felt like Mark could have cared less about our concerns. The customer service after you purchase your vehicle IS SERIOUSLY LACKING!! POOR COMMUNICATION AND UPPER MANAGEMENT LIKES TO HANG UP ON ITS CUSTOMERS!! The salesmen screws up and it gets taken out on the customer...very unprofessional, I just wanted my issue to be handled in a fair way, instead I was made to feel that it was my fault! On the top of this review form it says #1 Treat every single person who walks through our doors the same way as we want to be treated...REALLY??? and #2 Once someone has become our customer, he or she is our customer for life... NOT THIS CUSTOMER!! Our buying experience was so pleasant and this situation has ruined that, this dealership has left a very bad taste in my mouth...truly sick to my stomach...especially scince as the customer I did nothing wrong, but was still made to feel that way!! More
