I have been refunded my money in full and have nothing else bad to say about Mr. Rhoads or this dealership. This dealership made me pay $1000 up front to order a vehicle from Toyota even though they told me when I originally started talking to them that they had the truck I wanted at one of their sister stores. Wait time was going to be 2-3 weeks , so in the meantime I made a deal on a vehicle that another dealership had on the lot and was able to get immediately. When I went back to Fred Anderson Toyota they said my $1000 Was non-refundable and basically called me a liar when I explained why I bought from the other dealership. I filed a complaint with Toyota and was told I would be contacted by this dealerships' customer care team within 48 hours. So far it's been a week and haven't heard anything from them. Would never consider buying from this dealership and if this isn't resolved will probably never buy a Toyota again. More

Had a bad experience, but management stepped up and fixed it I struggled to decide the appropriate rating for this business. I bought my first car there years ago, and they’ve treated me pretty well over the years. But, last week I had an unbelievably bad experience when I took my car to their service bay. The rep assigned to me lied, obfuscated, and behaved in an inexcusable way, and it took over 4.5 hours just to get a new key reprogrammed. Given that, you might be asking yourself, “Why did you give them four stars?”. Well, that’s because after the fact, management went the extra mile to make things right. Andy, the manager on duty, and Steven, the GM, both reached out to me directly and they refunded my payment in full. Beyond the money, the fact that management really seemed to care and was personally invested in my experience speaks wonders about the organization. In every business, a footsoldier makes mistakes from time to time. The important thing is how the business responds. Just look at the fact that Steven personally responds to every Google review. Personally, I figured they were just paying a social media company to provide lipservice on and manage their reputation. But, that’s not the case. That’s Steven’s real email and phone number you see posted, and he actually does pick up when you call. So, at the end of the day, yes I had a bad time at their service bay. But, my case was an outlier, and management’s response was stellar. I highly recommend their services – just keep in mind that you might have to be a squeaky wheel to get the right person’s attention. More

Exceptional Service with Sami I came in needing to leave with a new car that day, Sami was absolutely wonderful in helping me make a choice. Once I decided that a 2017 Rav4 was for I came in needing to leave with a new car that day, Sami was absolutely wonderful in helping me make a choice. Once I decided that a 2017 Rav4 was for me Sami introduced me to LE and XLE models and guided me through the process. He explained everything perfectly and helped me make a decision easily. Alessia was extremely helpful in getting the financing all set up and dealing with the insurance transfer, she made sure that I got the absolute best financing rate and that the insurance people didn't pull one over on me. I am a proud new Toyota owner and will 100% recommend both Sami and Alessia to anyone looking to buy or lease a new vehicle. More

He also offered me a great deals on the new 2017 Tundra Limited. Now I am in a new Tundra with lower payments then my old lease. The whole sales team and management worked together to make it happen. Exceptional ! Buying my Toyota Tundra from Fred Anderson Toyota in West Ashley was by far the best car buying process I have ever experienced. I went to dealerships all over the Charleston Area , and felt for lack of a better words , that a gun was held to my head , and I had to buy a vehicle before I could leave. It was not that way at Fred Anderson. The staff was very friendly , and knowledgeable about all my questions , and there was no pressure. Matt Laurence was my sales rep , and kept me comfortable and well informed through the whole process. My advice to anyone buying a car would be to visit Fred Anderson , so you don't have to deal with the normal buy or die that you get from most other dealerships. More

I didn't have to spend hours in the dealership. I knew the car I wanted and what I was willing to pay...Peter Vangarderen and Steven Rhoads were able to meet these needs over the phone before entering the dealership. We picked up the vehicle and finished all the paper work with Alesia Durr. She was very knowledgeable and walked us through the warranty options. All 3 individuals Steven, Peter and Alesia were very genuine and made this buying experience enjoyable. More

Sami was the salesperson who helped us on both deals and he has to be the most professional, easy to work with, salesmen I have ever dealt with. Not only that, the GM (Steven) was down to earth and easy to talk to. The finance department is just as pleasurable with David and Bill. Overall it was a 5 star experience. Car buying is not usually a pleasurable experience for most, but Fred Anderson Toyota Charleston makes it a fun experience. Thanks! More

Best Car Buying Experience Ever!!! FIVE STARS We have been in the market for a Highlander for a long time. We shopped around at several surrounding dealerships, but Fred Anderson Toyota was by far the best price, value and customer service. Our salesman Eddie Cooks did an excellent job showing us all the different trim levels and options to help us decide the right fit while not being overbearing. Don Hesher, the sales manager, was a pleasure to work with which says a lot in the automotive industry! We went through getting our paperwork with no wait with the finance manager Alesia Durr. We very much got the impression of a well trained team that doesn't need to be pushy because they sell themselves. We will definitely be buying from Fred Anderson Toyota again and again!!! More
