Necessary Jeep Maintenance. This dealership wether through the previous owners or the new owners the service department has never changed. The service department has always be This dealership wether through the previous owners or the new owners the service department has never changed. The service department has always been there for me, had time to do my work, excellent technicians and front desk help, always fair in pricing and goes above and beyond in all aspects of the experience. This is why I continue to do all of my service with a place where I bought my jeep because I’ve always been treated right and never felt taken advantage of so I can’t say enough good things about them. Clean slate I brought my suburban in for 2 recalls and an oil change 6 days ago. I was very impressed and pleased with the kindness of the women that greeted me a I brought my suburban in for 2 recalls and an oil change 6 days ago. I was very impressed and pleased with the kindness of the women that greeted me and showed me around the service department. Also my car was done 2 hours quicker than they had initially said. However today i noticed that my front brakes sounded like metal in metal. Further investigation revealed that my front breaks were worn severely as well as my front driver rotor. Another sign that the brakes were well spent was the brake fluid was almost to the minimum mark. I was extremely upset when i looked at the ”quality vehicle inspection” which showed everything to be green or OK including my air conditioning system (which has been broken for months) and my windshield washer which has been low for 2 weeks now. I did bring the vehicle back so it could be evaluate and was greated by a different but equally very pleasant woman. I was pleased with the work that was done on my front brakes and rotors. After it was determined that they needed to be replaced I was put into a loaner car so I could run some errands with my baby. I was pleased that Scranton Chevy took into consideration that a recall was just performed on the breaks and they were more than fine less than 1 week prior when billing me for the breaks and rotors. I’m still a little concerned about the inspection report regarding the other issues but considering their honesty and fairness on my second trip I will give them another shot and consider this a clean slate. More

Reminds me of DMV I lowered my vehicle on coilovers. I called ahead of time to see if an alignment could be done. They assured me it could and to bring it in. I bring i I lowered my vehicle on coilovers. I called ahead of time to see if an alignment could be done. They assured me it could and to bring it in. I bring it in, along with an oil change an mention issue of 8 speed GM transmission shutter. Oil change done, cant replicate issue with trans which has a TSB out, and alignment is all set rear end out of spec, front end in the green but not perfect and I'm on my way. I go to a friends shop for something unrelated and notice the bolts used to adjust alignment have not been touched from factory and rust is not touched on bolt heads. The markings from gm are still all aligned front and rear. I was charged for a service never performed. I bring it back to the dealership and the lady I speak to is very standoffish. I provide her pictures of under the car and provide my alignment paperwork. She then tells me it needs a special tool. What tool is this?! It needs sockets or wrenches and an allen key for the front. Does this dealership not have those? I ask to speak to a manager. He was very cordial and let me choose a date and time that worked for me to make it right. I go in for this second trip and also mention a recall my car needs for steering box bolts that break. The woman tells me my bolts need a software update.... what?! I speak to the manager again, he knows the recall I'm talking about and says he will talk to her as they deal with many different types of recalls. An hour and a half later and I am told my car cant be aligned due to it having a bent lower control arm. The bolts under my car have now been adjusted but I do not know to what spec as I was not given a printout. Due to strike they cant get the arm needed for alignment and cannot finish until then. So I am sent on my way with who knows what kind of condition of alignment. Seems like a safety issue. So now I am supposed to go back a third time? I think not at this point. With no refund offered I'll have to eat that. This is the second multiple dealing unresolved issue I have had with this service center in the last 6 months. My wife's vehicle went in for a bad tpms sensor, we were ultimately sold new tires which the vehicle needed anyway and was told this was our issue. 6 trips later it is found to be a leaky valve stem. Which we suggested checking and were told no it wasn't that their tire specialists checked that. Also when I traded in a vehicle there I was given a number on my trade in and told this was based on kbb value. I opened kbb, we put in my options, and at the worst possible setting was higher than the number they offered me. Seeing this we then agreed on the number I wanted for my pristine truck which sold in 4 days on the lot. This review is based on my last visit. But after typing this out, looking at the big picture of multiple visits and multiple employees across multiple departments I think I am done coming here. My family has bought 5 vehicles in the past 4 years here. There could have been a 6th in june as I was cadillac shopping, but after messaging my rep twice and not hearing anything about transportation of a vehicle from their Vernon property, I purchased from carmax in Warwick ri. There is also a newer employee there who tried hanging me out for an issue at another place of employment, which without checking the other side of the story, automatically assumed i was in violation of my duties. My side was learned and the issue was of none anymore. Never received an apology on that. Hope his people skills have improved to be working at a dealership where it should be top priority. I think time will show the latter. I hope no one else has to experience service like this. More
