Turning a Bad thing into a Good thing. I went to Paradise on Saturday and test drove a 2013 Chevy Cruz RS for my son with Jerwin, the initial Sales rep. The car was Red Tagged and we just h I went to Paradise on Saturday and test drove a 2013 Chevy Cruz RS for my son with Jerwin, the initial Sales rep. The car was Red Tagged and we just had to wait for the Credit approval. On Sunday after the Bank called to finalize my son's approval, we received a call from Denny (it was Jerwin's day off) stating that he/we had been approved with the caveat that I would co-sign the loan. When we arrived at the dealership just 30 minutes later, we were stunned to hear that the Cruz I had test drove just the day before had been sold. Obviously, my son and I were very disappointed and felt that we had just been "bait and switched". However, Denny was just as concerned as we were and spent the next hour trying to figure out what exactly had happened and what he could do about it. This is where bad turned to good...! Denny not only shared our disappointment, but kept us from walking away and helped us find another Cruz that, although not an RS, it was a 2014 with the specific requirements that we had for the car. Upon hearing of our time constraints, Denny put the gas pedal down and got the rest of the Team to skip the back-and-forth negotiations that happen with every car purchase, got to the payment and price that we needed and moved quickly to finalize the deal. Mike and Tammy were awesome in finalizing the deal and getting us through the paper process as quickly as humanly possible. My so was able to run home, get ready for work, get back to the dealership, sign the papers and drive off in his new Cruz and still make it to work on time!! This is the 4th vehicle I have purchased from Paradise, even though I am just co-signing this one, Tammy especially having worked with me on every car over the past 11 years kept the process rolling and knocked down the interest rate even further to give my son the monthly payment he could handle without my help. From Jerwin, to Denny, to Mike and to Tammy, they all pitched in to make this happen for my son and turned a very disappointing situation into a very positive one! It is obvious that the new Ownership here at Paradise is creating a culture of customer focused, can-do Sales Team that actually does care about the customer and not just the sale!
