I brought my GLE here to have the seat repaired. The massaging seat wasn't working right (after another MB service center botched the repair). They replaced the seat back cover. They also had to remove the bottom seat cover to fix the seat ventilation. I am very unhappy with how my seat looks. It looks like it had years and years of aging in it and does not look like it did before any repairs were made. The seat looks horrible and it makes me upset every time I get in my vehicle. It's obvious they aren't capible of repairing it and having it look exactly like it did before any repairs were made. Even though it was covered under warranty, they still get paid by Mercedes for the work. They charge 2-3times more than other shops would charge. For that, you expect the work to be of the highest quality. Instead, you get sub-standard workemship at a premium above standard price. I just want my seat to look as it did from the factory before any repairs were made. The seat cushion bottom is "bubbling" and is not fitting correctly, the bolsters look horrible because the leather is all wrinkled. They did try to get it better and they did get it to look a lot better but it still looks horrible. It's not acceptable on a vehicle that retailed for $96k. I opened a case with Mercedes Benz corporate and they did nothing for me. I thought about taking them to court over it but a lawyer said it would probably cost me more to fight it than the vehicle is worth because MB has an army of lawyers. It's obvious that the MB service centers cannot repair it and have it look as it did from the factory. I'm actually thinking of re-purchasing the seat covers out of my own pocket and taking it to a place that specializes in car interiors to have it fixed properly. A lawyer told me that would for sure be cheaper than taking them to court. The first 4 photos are showing the seat that was repaired and had "new" seat covers yet my seat looks years older than my passenger side seat that is original and has been on the car for 3 years. The next 4 pictures show my passenger seat and you can see, it looks perfect. My drivers seat looks horrible. I had requested that MB send me a seat pre-assembled from the factory and as stated above, they will not do anything for me. It's sad when a luxary brand that charges a lot of money does not stand by its products..I will never buy another MB after this one. It really bothers me every time I get in my vehicle. Also, my massaging seat is still not working as it should when I compare it to the passenger side seat massage. Something feels off with it. Overall, not happy with the service I recieved from this MB service center and the first one who botched the repair in the first place. The staff at MB of paramus were very jice but unfortunately, I'm still very unhappy with the repair. After they tried to get the seat looking better the 2nd time (and failed, although it did look better, it still looked bad) they send me home with leather conditioner foam and told me to use that and it will smooth out. I have been using it and it has done nothing. More
