He really went a mission to find something gas efficient and still affordable. I was at work and we live 2 hours away. He offered to wait for us. By the time we got there it was getting late but both he and the finance guy treated us as if we were there during normal business hours. They never rushed us or acted annoyed at the late hour. Even my husband was impressed that they didn't give us a "car salesman" act at all. Tim showed is what we had. He answered our questions. He showed us how everything worked on it and sent us out for a test drive. He even told us a good place to go and where to turn around since we are from our of town. Tim is very friendly calm and helpful. I was so tired after work I was concerned that I wouldn't be up for trying to trade a vehicle but God really blessed us with this experience. Tim is a great customer service person because he really took care of us and what we needed. I totally recommend him and his dealership. They are honest friendly and really care about people. We love our GMC Terrain and a very thankful for the most pleasant vehicle purchase ever. Even late at night in the rain-very genuine and pleasant guy. Well worth the 2 hour drive. More

We had a game plan in place, which cars to look at and test drive, how much we were willing to spend and how little patience we had for a pushy salesperson. Tim Border showed us a car that we liked. He was very knowledgeable in the safety and efficiency of this vehicle. We immediately liked him because we didn't feel like he was pushing us to do something we didn't want to do. My husband and I decided that we needed to do a little bit more research so we went into Rockford and visited about 15 other car places looking for this exact car for comparrison. After all that work and ALL the pushy salespeople we found nothing that came even close in car or service to that in Cedarville. We immediately called Tim and drove back to Cedarville with our three children to purchase the car. The purchasing process was extremely easy, my children held it together in the short amount of time that it took for the paperwork to be written up and the car to be handed over to us. We highly recommend Tim Border and Barkau in Cedarville! More

Upon a search of Auto Trader we found a Chevy Silverado 2500 with low miles a good price at the dealership. Being 60+ miles away we relied on talking to Tim there to convey the shape the vehicle was in. He was refreshingly honest and forth coming with every inch of the truck. We decided to come down that day and look at the truck ourselves. It was just as described, if not better. Tim made us feel at home when we arrived and helped throughout the purchase experience. Absolutely awesome! After having my Land Rover for a few years and realizing I couldn't afford the general maintenance of it, or the repairs it needed, I knew it was time After having my Land Rover for a few years and realizing I couldn't afford the general maintenance of it, or the repairs it needed, I knew it was time to trade it in. I searched all over for another SUV and finally found the one I knew I had to have. A few years older than my Rover, but it was a GMC Jimmy in excellent condition and extremely low miles. I requested information about it as soon as I saw it online, and the very next morning Tim Border emailed me back ready to get me started on making a decision. Went up to look at it a couple of times, loved what I saw so we worked out a trade-in. Everyone at the dealership was so great and helpful! My dad was concerned cuz the car pulled to the right, so Tim made sure it was sent to their service shop to get double checked and fixed up for me! They even put the truck on hold so my dad and I could make arrangements and a week later I picked it up, dropped my Rover off, and I'm as happy as can be! They had the Jimmy washed and the tank filled when I got there. Absolutely amazing and awesome people to work with! Thank you so much!! More

Love my GMC Acadia! We were helped right away by Tim and he answered all of the questions we had. After a long Sunday of discussing what we wanted to do, I emailed Tim Monday morning and told him we were coming in that evening to test drive one more time. He had the Acadia detailed and filled with gas waiting for us on our arrival. When we returned to the dealership, we were sold on the vehicle & Tim had all of our paperwork ready to go. He also went through all the features of our new vehicle with us and even set up our trials of Onstar and Sirius Radio for us. We were very happy driving off of the Cedarville Barkau & Sons lot! Finding a rare one. I saw a car listed and called with a couple questions. Later in the week went to test drive , however, we weren't sure of the color. We were able to get together ,with no problem and bought a nice car. Tim did a fine job showing us how to operate all the electronics and went the extra mile to help get a stuborne Bluetooth to work.
