My brakes our very noisy, even though they are relatively
new. It's embarrassing having to explain to people that "it's just the way Mazda brakes are". My wife doesn't want to drive my car because she feels
new. It's embarrassing having to explain to people that "it's just the way Mazda brakes are". My wife doesn't want to drive my car because she feels unsafe with the noise.
In 50 years of driving dozens of cars, I've never experienced brakes that squeal and clunk like this, yet the advisors just say it's surface rust. I park my car in a heated garage, so I suspect there is more to it than that. I like the car, but not being able to correct this issue is very frustrating. This last time I was provided with a loner, and the same model, albeit new, had no noise when braking.
The staff was friendly and professional, but just not willing or able to correct the situation. The brakes were changed about 5-6K miles ago, and it's been noisy ever since.
As far as the dealer, it's very clean, modern, and the staff is friendly. So I'm sure how to rate them fairly. If they could fix my brake issues, I would rate the dealer a 5, but the car's ongoing brake noise make's the brand only a "1", unfortunately.
