Has not been pleasant My husband and I went to Tasca on March 5 to purchase a car. Our salesman was Todd Amaral. After many many hours we were finally able to leave with a new 2018 Ford Escape. It actually was a vehicle they had used as a rental with approximately 2000 miles on it and we felt we got a good deal. We do love the car. On this day of purchased, it was a Sunday and they seemed short staffed, the waiting was very long. While with Todd, he went away many times leaving us standing around for periods,40min, at a time. Total time at dealership that day was probably 4+ hrs. It was stressed to us many times this day how they wanted a good rating on some survey we would be getting. On March 11, check engine light came on, I called Todd and brought vehicle in the next morning. I entered the dealership and was greeted by receptionist, told everyone was in a meeting and I took a seat to wait. I could clearly see in a office all the salesman listing to someone seated at a desk talking. Several times this person at the desk motion to me, indicating by waving hands to sit , be a minute etc The receptionist apologized several times, sent a person in to leave Todd a message, and ask if I wanted to go to service myself. I had no idea of what was needed so decided to continue to wait. After 50 min I finally got up and went to desk intending to finally see what I could do. Todd came to me , took one minute to bring me to Service Dept and left me with them were I received very good service. On this day I asked Todd about our Registration which had to be done in Ct. He mentions something about needing a Vin check, was very vague and said he would get back to us. I was able to pick car up on 3/15, a recall had been fixed and whatever caused engine light to come on. Nothing said or done about small dent in door. I again question about registration and was told it was getting taken care of. Temporary plates expiring on 3/25/18. I called Todd 3/20 voicing concern about registration, was told it was getting taken care of , how many customers get nervous but all would be ok. My husband and I drove to dealers on 3/24 to see what was going on and Todd told us we would have our plates on the 3/26, one day after they expired. At mid day 3/26 Todd called me and told me I had to take it to a Ford dealership just down the road to get a vin check. I had a dentist appt that afternoon and said I would try to get it in after. I was late getting out of my appt and unable to make it that afternoon. I had called the dealership to see if I needed a appointment but was told I could come in, pay the charge, wait bout 1/2 hour and get the required service needed. On 3/27 I brought my car back to Tasca Ford, at this time very frustrated and disappointed in the service I had been receiving. Todd greeted me immediately when I entered, I told him I was unable to get the vin check done, It should not have been dumped in my hands days after reg expired in the first place. He told me it had to get done so he could get registration done. I asked to speak to a manager and was brought to someone else at a sales desk, I explained to this person what was happening, he told Todd to get the car, to get it checked and brought back to me. I was told I would get a rental to take home. Todd at this time, took me outside, brought his personal car to me and told me I could go home. I was overwhelmed by this time, and just tried to make it home. The vehicle that I was in had personal stuff cluttered all over seats and floor.I was never shown how to drive the darn thing, it had auto start and stop and keyless start. I waited all day to hear from someone, finally calling dealership that evening. Phone connection was horrible and I was not able to understand what anyone was saying, eventually hanging up not knowing what was going on. 3/28 I am still waiting to find out when I will get my car back. I have several errands that needed doing today, first with my mother and then with my grandchildren. I will put neither in the car I was given. This entire experience has been very frustrating and we are so disappointed an the way things have been handled. a dealership that strives to get good ratings and have satisfied customers should be aware of what is going on. Since that time I was given a 2018 Ford Escape to drive since my truck is in for service, due to our great Ri weather, the truck may be ready on Thursday. Like I said it has been an interesting experience, but I must note that both my salesman Todd and Steve in service have been more than great. This whole adventure started in January when I traded in my 2006 Ford Ranger to Flood Ford. I traded for a 2011 f-150, The truck was great, but after driving a Ranger, it was like driving a boat. Much too big. So I came to Tasca to look for a trade. With. Little patience everything will turn out And the Escape is 4 W D. Your food court is a nice touch. Thanks. Chuck Day. More

Outstanding car buying experience (Twice)! I went to Tasca Cranston to look at a used vehicle I had seen online. I was greeted by Todd Amaral, who spoke with me and got the car from Woonsocket I went to Tasca Cranston to look at a used vehicle I had seen online. I was greeted by Todd Amaral, who spoke with me and got the car from Woonsocket the same day. He let my wife and I test drive the vehicle with no hassle, and made it very easy to purchase. He promised to have some scratches repaired, and to get an OEM cargo cover that was missing. Todd delivered on every count! After the initial purchase experience, I went back to Todd and bought a second used car, trading mine in. Same great purchase experience. I won't hesitate to go back and see Todd in the future! More

After viewing some potential Ford Fusion candidates, I scheduled a test-drive of two of them with Todd Amaral. He was more than willing to get me into the cars for the test drives, and I settled on one of them for the purchase. It was nice not to deal with any surprises, issues, nor disrespect, unlike my negative experience with another large dealership in RI. When one of their sales-staff made a comment to me that "his watch is worth more than the used car I'm considering", I left him with a few very choice words, and his used car inventory, to bake in the hot August sun. I would recommend any of my family & friends to visit the Tasca Automotive Group based on the high standards and professionalism exhibited by Tayla Folco (Internet Sales), Todd Amaral (Sales), and finally Ron Traver (Finance), who happens to have a great sense of humor IMHO. Buying a car is only one part of the equation; the folks running in the background complete rest of the solution, and are the basis of the "team". More
